Got a mild virus 10yo, diddn't recover.
Hoping for a cure by retirement. Read way too many papers #mecfs
Name as people assume I am as good as shown here.
@mecfsskeptic From memory, >half the HPV linked cancers are nowhere near the cervix, and around a third in people with no cervix. Vaccination works great for HPV.
@me_dealwithme Literally 40+ years. My last several interactions with doctors involved them explicitly refusing to read the guidelines on ME/CFS by NICE, or consult with anyone who has any skill.
@ahandvanish@TheRealCVN71 Can you answer this question on how many are currently available for duty in the group of sailors initially infected, and not infected with covid on the outbreak around two years ago? #longcovid This would be valulable unpublished data.
@TomKindlon Now I want to see filtered patient sera. Is the relevant bit which causes issues >1000nm, >100nm, ... Nailing down this factor might enable a treatment to block this. (Simplifying a lot)
@toy59496@GilmourSpace A failure is a failure. First three SpaceX launches failed. Starship also had a lot of failures even before launch one. First launch success is damn rare, and discounting the effect of luck on success is also a problem.
First launch is very very hard.
@GemzME@meactionscot@MEActNetUK I am as yet unsure as to the particular approach that is intended to be taken. At the moment nothing has happened except admission and non supply of COVID jab. Thanks.
Well. In the taxi to the mental hospital with a doctor that is sure that mental health is the primary driver of my CFS. #mecfs Lomond ward. Stratheden. For extra fun I mislaid my credit cards. Two day, up to twenty eight day confinement. If no posts in two days, call them.
@healingfromlc@TomKindlon Many, many papers for example include various things patients mostly don't care about as symptoms as they're easily measured (weight, for example), but fail utterly to collect the bits that actually matter. (have you been able to resume work/activities/caring responsibilities)
@healingfromlc@TomKindlon Ish. Larger is only one aspect. If, for example, you are using traditional mental health scores, and asking fatigued people 'do you feel tired all the time' (a usual question in MH tests designed for healthy people) you can't large N your way out of it.
@defeatpostcovid There are reasonable exhortations to do various things that are backed by varying amounts of evidence, or gut feelings. Nobodies done the sort of science that can back these up with numbers you can take to governments or HR departments and say '40% more people remain in work
