Isn’t it disgusting that @UniofOxford can close the @marstonbikepath for 8 weeks in the summer and then still deny Marston residents access to the city over Christmas and New Year. Marston Councillor @maryoxford again will not stand up for residents of her ward…
@HolyBollards If that was in Marston @maryoxford could have put a gate across it like she did in Marston... Apparently she believes that gates make things more open?
Hay @RobertFolker shouldn't your headline read, an ANIT cycling gate has been placed across a cycle path in Marston as the council continues its aggressive anti cycling campaign?
This gate is designed to keep, wheelchair users, cargo bikes, people with mobility concerts out
@RobOnABike Hay @RobOnABike that's me 😂😂 Didn't know you would post this on twitter, I would have given you a little dance... Been loving the @EAVcargo on delivery this week, I might take that photo for me Insta...
@eastoxbusiness @TrishElph @Oxford_Labour How many of the 11k were cyclists? You know those peatie, polluting, dangerous cyclists?
From what your saying it would appear that the motorists are the law breakers not the cyclists ✅
Ooo and us cyclists take up less space on the roads, spend more in local businesses.
@pedalandpostCB Clinton Pugh's two restaurants sit at one of the first LTN's in Oxford. He has used that space for his customers to sit, dine, drink and party for years, made £1000's over this years I bet of that space... I find it strange that he now wants to open it back to traffic?
Unfortunately @SmileyTallBike will not make tonight’s @mass_oxford but other bikes are available and we will still ride with the Oxford Critical Mass Riders.
@marstonbikepath And our local councillor @maryoxford will happily defend the closure of the path. Also she is not interested in putting up a flight for lighting the complete path from end to end.
@marstonbikepath If this cycle path was a major road in Oxford do you think it would still be flooding year after year? @maryoxford another example of how you are leaving the good people of Marston isolated.
@OxfordLordMayor@MarkLygo we have been hearing that @maryoxford is asking for cycle paths to be gritted, but the people of Marston would like some lights along our cycle path especially in the dark winters...
Been asked for years with no progress...
*Stolen bike alert*🚲my bike got nicked from outside the #Oxford Town Hall earlier today. If anyone spots a pretty shoddy looking white Specialised with very tattered bar tape, please let me know. I've had it for years, it's really precious to me and I would really like it back😔
@PedalandPost@OxonCyclingNet@mass_oxford @timbearder @MarkLygo@OxfordLordMayor I read that the proposal being only "Commercial" Cargo Bikes, not all Cargo Bikes and both ways?
When you say "level things up" do you mean allowing Royal Mail, Taxi's and Delivery Vans to go both ways as well, and allow all Bikes free use as you would? or just your bikes?
@OxonCyclingNet@PedalandPost@mass_oxford @timbearder Agree, but why would a council give them exclusive right to a public road? Cycling for everyone not just a few? Nothing in the scope to say that this will ever be expanded...@MarkLygo as @OxfordLordMayor can you please fix this unbalanced ByLaw?
