Last night, Spatial Frontier Club @SpaceFronClub and @abaka_ai brought together a carefully curated group of 40 researchers, engineers, founders, and builders for an evening dedicated to Spatial Intelligence, World Models, Robotics, and Physical AI.
Over fried chicken, pizza, and plenty of lively conversation, guests exchanged ideas, shared what they are building, and met others working across different parts of the field.
A special thank-you to our three speakers for sharing their work and perspectives:
🎤 @guozhenzhu_jenn Guozhen (Jenn) Zhu, Principal Scientist at Origin AI and ADT Research
Jenn explored Human-Centric Ambient Spatial Intelligence, showing how WiFi, IMU, and other ambient signals can help systems understand people and environments without relying on cameras or wearable devices. Her work spans indoor localization and map reconstruction to activity recognition, pet detection, breathing-rate sensing, and multimodal learning toward richer contextual AI.
🎤 @laura_llin Laura Lin, Head of Growth & AI/UX Researcher at Collov Labs
Laura introduced NewEyes, Collov Labs’ new multimodal visual AI agent built to go beyond simply recognizing what a camera sees. She shared how NewEyes combines visual understanding, reasoning, memory, and agentic execution to understand real-world context and actually take action, pointing toward a future where the camera becomes a natural interface between AI and the physical world.
🎤 @HerozaZhan73432 Heroza Zhang, Co-founder and CEO of Gorest AI
Heroza spoke about Spatial Intelligence for Interactive 3D Creation, sharing how multi-agent AI and natural-language interaction can make complex 3D creation more accessible, turning creative intent into interactive worlds and game content.
This was SFC’s first event in the South Bay. As our community continues to grow, we hope to establish a regular rhythm of gatherings across both San Francisco and the South Bay, creating welcoming spaces where people can reconnect, meet new collaborators, and discuss the future of Spatial Intelligence, World Models, and Physical AI.
That has always been at the heart of Spatial Frontier Club: bringing together people working at the frontier and giving them a place to exchange ideas in person.
Finally, a huge thank-you to Abaka AI for co-hosting the evening, providing the wonderful venue, and taking such thoughtful care of the food and hospitality.
We hope everyone had a great evening. See you at the next one!

Last Sunday, @SpaceFronClub teamed up with @oceanveo for a fried chicken and beer night, bringing together around 20 people for an evening of great food and even better conversations. 🍗🍻
Our guests came from across AI research, robotics, 3D, startups, and investing, with researchers and builders from @theworldlabs , @fieldai_ , @BytedanceTalk PICO, @Apple and more.
The conversation covered everything from Visual AI and world models to the future of 3D and how cutting-edge research is turning into real products and applications. People shared what they’re building, the questions they’re exploring, and the challenges they’re tackling, which led to some thoughtful and lively discussions that carried on well into the evening.
It was exciting to have researchers, builders, founders, and investors from different parts of the ecosystem around the same table, exchanging ideas and learning from one another. We came away with plenty of new perspectives and really enjoyed the energy of the evening.
Thank you to @oceanveo for co-hosting the dinner and providing the space, and to everyone who joined us:
@Stone_Tao@KeJing527@Luckyballa@libing_zeng Chenpeng Z @FanOnRobotics(Fan Jiang) Jerry Chen @dlfangda1 Candice Liu @intbotai(David Yuan)
Looking forward to more conversations like this!
One of the biggest takeaways from our third Spatial Frontier Club event was seeing how differently each speaker approached spatial intelligence, yet how closely their work ultimately connected.
Ke Jing’s discussion around XR, robot teleoperation, and egocentric data collection highlighted how humans can interact with robots while also generating valuable real-world data. @sbh_studio work in 4D capture addressed how those environments and human activities can be preserved with spatial and temporal detail. @DengHokin research in video reasoning raised the next question: whether AI can actually understand the motion, causality, and physical dynamics contained within that data. @Luckyballa perspective on physics simulation and learned world models then explored how systems can model and predict those dynamics beyond what has already been observed.
Together, the talks revealed a broader loop: interacting with the physical world, capturing it, understanding it, and predicting what may happen next.
As co-founders of Spatial Frontier Club, @dazouzi123 , @usernameiszhao , and @ChengxinYu27 have always believed that the most valuable conversations happen when researchers, builders, founders, and investors can exchange ideas across disciplines. This event reflected exactly that vision—not just individual presentations, but a shared exploration of where spatial intelligence is heading.
What stood out was that the field is moving beyond static 3D representations or visually convincing outputs. The real challenge is building systems that understand how a world changes over time, how actions affect it, and how intelligence can eventually operate within it.
Each speaker was working on a different part of that challenge, but the convergence between their perspectives made the larger direction much clearer.
A special thank you to @MissionRobotBay@Scav for once again partnering with us and providing such an incredible space for the community. We truly appreciate your support in making this event possible.
We’re also grateful to every speaker and attendee who joined us. We’re excited to continue building Spatial Frontier Club into a community where these conversations—and collaborations—can keep happening.
