A private sector employee retires with whatever's left after 30-40 years of tax, EMIs, school fees, and medical bills - and prays it's enough.
→ No DA to offset inflation eating your savings every year.
→ No guaranteed pension - just an NPS/EPF corpus you're expected to stretch across 20-30 years.
→ No free medical coverage -a single hospitalization in your 60s can wipe out a decade of savings.
→ Full 30% tax during your working years, with zero acknowledgment that you're funding your own retirement alone, unlike the system you're paying for.
Both groups pay into the same tax system. One retires protected. One retires exposed.
This isn't envy. It's a structural imbalance nobody's fixing because the people writing tax policy already have the safety net the rest of us don't.
Our demands:
→ Real retirement security for private sector taxpayers - not just "invest better."
→ Tax-free compounding on retirement corpus, matched to what government schemes already enjoy.
→ Inflation-indexed withdrawal planning support, not just a lump sum and good luck.
→ And ultimately - stop taxing productive income this heavily when there's no safety net waiting on the other side.
