The @MSHelpline assists victims of #modernslavery to exit exploitation as early as possible. Every hour we shift that interaction forward increases their chance of survival. It’s at risk of closure. Here in the UK, in 2019. Text 70085 with HELPLINE 5 (or 10/20/30 etc) to help. 🙏🏼

Very high numbers of girls are self-harming. The need for better mental health support and a greater focus on wellbeing is urgent. These children can’t wait five years for help, they need it now. Govt must be more ambitious. https://t.co/aZwWtzG0Y0

The Essential Artificial Intelligence Glossary for Marketers https://t.co/7SLMdVgQy0 via @HubSpot @Megan_Conley_ excellent blog that gives a basic understanding of #AI and associated developments. Written for marketers but highly useful for anyone interested in AI
@AMLTaylor66@TheRegister@EmilyK100@PopTechWorks highly recommend @ProfFerguson's book which discusses these issues and the reasons why some police leaders in the US hid behind algorithms. It is a failure of professional practice. AI should not be used as a replacement for professional decision making but as a supportive tool.
@EmilyK100@Stats_NZ Yes, also completely agree. We would have wanted to attend but not at this price. There is a real issue here. Safeguarding professionals need to attend events like these to support their enagagement in the debate. Pricing so only tech companies can attend is not helpful.
