Congratulations to Georgina Berryman, elected Labour & Co-operative councillor for St Martin’s, & to Jeremy Isaacs elected for the Greens. Commiserations also to Kitty Ussher who ran a great campaign. This account is no longer monitored - pls direct casework to Cllrs via email.
Another big day out speaking to residents in Brixton Rush Common.
Thank you to everyone who opened the door, took a leaflet or stopped for a chat. This campaign is about a local team with a record of delivery and practical plans for what comes next.

Tulse Hill is currently closed between Jubilee School and Brailsford Road while police carry out an investigation.
We went down as soon as we heard, spoke with residents and officers on the scene.
Buses are not running and police are asking people to avoid the area for now.

🚌 NEW SUPERLOOP BUS!
TfL has confirmed a new Superloop route along the South Circular, connecting Clapham Junction, Clapham South, Streatham, Brixton Hill, Tulse Hill, West Dulwich and Eltham.
A key pledge in our 2022 manifesto & great to see the @MayorofLondon backing it!
The fire service is in attendance at Worthington House on Tulse Hill after a large fire earlier this afternoon.
Traffic in the surrounding area is likely to be impacted as crews remain on scene into the evening.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Cllrs are in touch with emergency services & landlords & council officers stand ready to assist. We are grateful for the swift response from LFB. Residents needing assistance with accommodation resulting from this from should call Southern Housing on 08001216060
Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters are responding to a fire on Upper Tulse Hill, #Lambeth.

We have reported this - very alarming to think what might have happened had a pedestrian been standing by the crossing at the time. This is why we continue to push @TfL for a full redesign of the Gyratory, as well as interim measures such as speed cameras & traffic calming.
Yet another high-speed collision at Tulse Hill Gyratory. @TransformTH wrote two months ago to @SebDance & @TfL Commissioner Andy Lord asking to meet but we haven't received a response. Please sign the petition to @MayorofLondon for action on safety https://t.co/90wAEae3LI
♻️ FREE COMMUNITY SKIPS COMING TO LAMBETH ♻️
If re-elected, Labour in Lambeth will introduce free community skips in every neighbourhood, reducing fly-tipping and making it easier than ever to dispose of bulky waste.
Pride in our neighbourhood starts with cleaner streets.
Great to be out in Deronda estate listening to residents & picking up casework. Many thanks to our labour activists & local MP @helenhayes_ for joining us on an (almost!) sunny afternoon! 🌥️🌥️🌥️
Help us speed up bus journeys across the borough to create safer and healthier streets and make it easier to reach destinations 🚎📣

There are no words to fully express my shock and deep sadness at the sudden passing of Dr Aysha Raza - respected neuroscientist and passionate defender of the NHS, a tireless campaigner for equality - and Ealing Council’s first ever Muslim woman Cabinet Member.
Aysha was a dear and loyal friend who worked relentlessly, not only for her beloved community in Ealing, where she served as a councillor for over a decade, but for social justice everywhere. Her commitment to fairness and compassion was unwavering, and her impact will be felt for years to come.
She was a cherished daughter, sister, friend and councillor. She had an amazing sense of humour and a moral compass that made me proud to call her a friend, an adviser and an ally.
My heartfelt condolences go out to her mum, family, friends and to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire us all.
We will be writing in support of this proposal - finally St Martin’s estate residents will be able to cross safely by Roycroft close and make full use of the lovely new cycle path that was delivered as part of the Healthy Route programme last year.
Excellent new plans by @TfL to install 2 new pedestrian/cycle crossings on the south circular: one by Hillside Rd to connect the Streatham->Peckham cycle route, and a new one outside Fenstanton Primary School, both to replace existing pedestrian ‘refuges’.

🚨 Should Lambeth’s last police station stay open 24/7? 🚨
Under current Met Police plans, Lambeth’s last remaining police station will have its hours reduced from March.
We don’t think this is right.
