Only 12 survived and outperformed on both total returns and investor dollar-weighted returns.
Picking a winning fund manager in advance is nearly impossible.
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon: Elon is our Einstein. It's rational he checks our government efficiency.
“You’ve got to look at Elon, at SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink – the guy is our Einstein. I'd like to be helpful to him and his companies as much as we can.
I think it is completely rational for someone to look at our government and say it's been ineffective. We deserve good government, and I don't think anyone thinks sending another trillion dollars to Washington, D.C., will lead to good government.
The government needs to be more accountable. It needs to be more efficient. It should be outcomes-based. I mean, I'd say [go] department by department.
I wish them the best. It's going to be complicated. The federal government's complicated. You read about all the people in it. And so, you know, if we could be helpful to them, I'd love to be helpful to them.”

When 102-year-old World War II veteran Wally King asks you to have a beer at the Stop Bar in Sainte-Mère-Église in Normandy, you have a beer (or two) with Wally King at the Stop Bar in Sainte-Mère-Église in Normandy. What an honor! Wally flew 75 combat missions in the Second World War in P-51 Mustangs and P-47 Thunderbolts. He was shot down in April of 1945, parachuting out of his P-47 over Germany and becoming a POW before then evading both German and Soviet forces on his way to freedom. Legend!
I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to Normandy with Wally three times for D-Day commemoration events with the Best Defense Foundation over the past few years. We always have a blast! 🇺🇸
On June 6, 1944, the greatest generation made the ultimate investment — their lives — in a future they would never profit from.
Markets open Monday & we will go about our business.
Do it with some awareness of what it cost to make that possible.
@FutbolFeller@coachvint If your son or daughter would have played for me...they could have learned those lessons and more while still able to save/invest. :) I'm with you...not a fan of PlayStation either.
I talked a dad who told me he spent $10k a year on travel baseball between tourneys, travel, and gear for his son. He got a partial scholarship to D-2 school. If he had put the $10k in a mutual fund each year, he would have had about $190,000. The scholarship was $5k a year.

Mayor of Charlotte, NC asks that we not post about this lady murdered on a Charlotte train by a repeat offender with 14 prior arrests
I say in Iryna’s memory please share and make this go viral! A repeat offender with 14 prior arrests should not be roaming the streets of ANY city! They should be locked up!! Epic failure in the justice system..
We will never forgot her ever
September 19th LSU at Ole Miss is going to be an all time grudge match. It will make Lane going to Tennessee look like a trip to Disney World. I. Can’t. Wait.
The S&P 500 is back at a new all-time high — hitting the 7,500 target I put on the map in January, after the bout of volatility I also told you was coming.
I really feel for the doom and gloom crew… who once again swore up, down and sideways that you'd better sell.
A big well done to everyone who played to win and stayed in the game. 💯👏
And if you're worried about buying at all-time highs?
83% of the time, that worry cost you money.
Don't take my word, look at the data...
Major life hack: Don't complain, ever. Nobody likes a complainer. They drain the energy of everyone around them. It's exhausting spending time around someone who constantly complains about things outside their control. If it’s within your control, go do something about it. If it’s not, you’re just wasting energy thinking about it. Complaining gives too much power to the thing. Take back that power.
A few "boring" things I love:
- Going to bed early
- Waking up early
- Eating simple foods
- Saving money
- Moving my body
- Walking in silence
- Reading old books
- Avoiding drama
Boring is seriously underrated.
The biggest cheat code on the planet is the ability to be in a good mood regardless of what's going on in your life. Not letting external events dictate how you feel is a skill we can learn. If you can train yourself to be in a bad mood you can train yourself to be in a good one.
