If you’re in line to apologize to Dem women you called establishment, centrist, or traitors for not supporting Graham Platner, please stay in line… DMs will be open all night.
Emma sweetheart, you are not getting off that easy.
Not only did you believe his lies and let this man gaslight you politically, you attacked people who had common sense and two eyes and could see the warning signs from a mile away.
I do not need to be paid, and I certainly was not paid, to get on TV and say that as a Black girl who comes from two working-class immigrant parents and grew up in the South, I do not believe a white man with a Nazi tattoo and a history of allegations about aggressive behavior toward women is going to connect with real working-class voters.
Do you know why? Because working-class people have values. They work hard for what they have. They dream of giving their kids a better life than the one they grew up with. They do not stoop down for every shiny penny.
You were so wrapped up in your hatred for the Democratic Party that you backed a candidate who has now put us in a worse position to gain the Senate majority.
Do you think Bernie Moreno has a soft spot for Abdul El-Sayed? Or do you think they are panicking that Haley will win and they know they will lose the seat if she does?
I worked for 3 Dem Presidents and helped their campaigns, where they won swing states, and back in the Clinton campaign that included places like Georgia, Iowa and Ohio.
I think people who have never won an election in a red state or a purple state should consider fewer lectures on what America wants.
In 80% Dem districts, hats off to getting younger, more liberal candidates elected. That is not the same as defeating MAGA at the ballot box. The people who have done that are folks like Slotkin, Gallego, Warnock, Ossoff, Rosen.
And if you think Hillary Clinton is unpopular in a Dem primary in MI, you are definitely online too much.
DeGette is a cosponsor of the Medicare for All Act of 2025-26. The main problem is it is about 100 votes shy of passage. Replacing a yay vote in DeGette with a yay vote in Kiros doesn’t get you any closer to passage. A real strategy to get there probably needs to engage with the possibility that people oppose it for reasons other than the monocausal explanation favored by this faction, since it didn’t stop DeGette from cosponsoring M4A and the hand-wavy suggestion that she should have “done more” is a cop out.
@JackBurden80 Probably some of them do and others don’t. But the official line from the left factionalists is that their opponents are *corrupt* due to their donors, so are they going to ask for that same tainted cash? It doesn’t make sense.
This is fine, I guess, but Platner is already putting out there that he needs more DSCC support and I assume if El-Sayed is the nominee in Michigan he’s also going to want national money … so is the whole factional strategy really going to be bashing Dem donors?
