Please process and pay out my two BTC bridge withdrawals of 0.5999 BTC and 0.6 BTC, which have now been delayed for 150 days.
The addresses presented as your reserves are also listed as Poloniex reserves. I have posted about this on my profile.
Are you sure these addresses actually have anything to do with you?
🚨 I am publicly calling on Merlin Chain #MerlinChain (@MerlinLayer2 / @CN_Merlin) and Jeff Yin (@BitmapTech) to contact me and resolve this situation.
My funds have effectively been trapped:
• 1.2 BTC bridge withdrawal — pending for ~140 DAYS with no clear explanation.
• More than 100,000 M-USDT — I have been unable to withdraw for almost ONE YEAR.
I was one of the major arbitrage/liquidity participants on Merlin, actively keeping prices between MerlinSwap and centralized exchanges aligned.
I have waited long enough. I now want public answers.
⚠️ I also strongly urge users to be extremely careful with any unusual MERL price movements in the near future.
Recently, Meson Finance / Free Tech (@mesonfi) dramatically reduced the fee for bridging MERL between Merlin and BSC, while more than 30 wallets initiated transfers totaling roughly 80,000,000 MERL.
80M MERL is a massive amount.
I am NOT claiming to know what these transfers will be used for. I simply want to warn people to be extremely careful with any major MERL price movements that may happen in the near future.
This becomes especially concerning when viewed together with everything else happening around the ecosystem:
1️⃣ LIQUIDITY
Following the sharp decline in prices, the market moved outside the active liquidity ranges of MerlinSwap pools, causing effective liquidity to disappear at current prices and leaving the on-chain markets severely disconnected from external exchanges.
As a result, prices on MerlinSwap can now differ from exchange prices by approximately 30% to as much as 100%.
2️⃣ BRIDGES / EXITS
MERL, M-USDT, mBTC and other assets on Merlin have effectively had no functioning bridge or withdrawal route for a long time.
The third-party bridge and withdrawal services that previously allowed users to move these assets out of Merlin have been shut down or stopped supporting them.
The only remaining official exit route is Merlin's BTC bridge — and even that is currently subject to major delays.
3️⃣ BTC WITHDRAWALS
BTC bridge withdrawal times have gradually increased from relatively normal processing times to 60+ days.
My own withdrawal has now been pending for approximately 140 days, while other withdrawals have continued to be processed.
Why?
4️⃣ DISCORD / SECURITY — SERIOUS WARNING
The Discord link displayed across almost every section of the official Merlin website currently leads users to an unrelated scam/phishing resource instead of the legitimate Merlin Discord.
This is not simply a suspicious link posted somewhere by a third party — users can reach this malicious resource by clicking Discord links directly from Merlin's own website.
How has something this serious been allowed to remain across the official website?
5️⃣ PROOF OF RESERVES — THIS NEEDS AN EXPLANATION
Merlin has presented addresses as evidence of BTC reserves.
However, my investigation found that a very large portion of the claimed reserves appears to be held at addresses publicly associated with Poloniex (@Poloniex), while other addresses appear to have connections to HTX / Justin Sun (@justinsuntron)-related infrastructure.
Some of these exact addresses can be found in Poloniex's own publicly available Proof-of-Reserves data / GitHub resources.
This raises a simple question for Merlin Chain (@MerlinLayer2 / @CN_Merlin) and Jeff Yin (@BitmapTech):
Why are addresses publicly associated with @Poloniex being presented as part of Merlin's reserves, and what proof does Merlin have that these BTC addresses and their balances actually belong to, or are controlled on behalf of, Merlin users?
A blockchain balance alone does NOT prove ownership.
6️⃣ MY CASE
This is not just a theoretical concern for me.
I was one of the major arbitrage participants supporting price alignment between MerlinSwap and external exchanges, and I have spent months trying to get a clear explanation and resolution regarding my own funds.
I am still waiting.
7️⃣ M-USDT
M-USDT has lost much of its practical exit liquidity and has become severely depegged.
Meson Finance / Free Tech (@mesonfi) previously provided infrastructure around M-USDT and MerlinSeal, where users deposited real USDT.
So where are the USDT reserves backing the M-USDT currently circulating on Merlin?
I would welcome a clear answer from both @mesonfi and Merlin Chain.
8️⃣ BTC ACCOUNTING
I independently analyzed historical BTC flows involving Merlin Seal and the official Merlin BTC bridge.
From my calculations:
• ≈11,642 BTC entered through Merlin Seal
• ≈5,708 BTC entered through the regular BTC Bridge In
• ≈500 BTC in additional inflows have not yet been fully identified/classified
• ≈16,172 BTC was withdrawn through BTC Bridge Out
The clearly identified inflows therefore total approximately 17,350 BTC.
After approximately 16,172 BTC in Bridge Out withdrawals, that would leave roughly 1,178 BTC — or approximately 1,678 BTC if the additional ~500 BTC is included.
Yet Merlin-related reserve information has referenced approximately 5,848.4643 BTC.
So where does that figure come from?
If my methodology is wrong or I am missing another major source of BTC inflows/outflows, I welcome a correction.
9️⃣ STAKING / WITHDRAWAL DESIGN
Why is the option to exit staking designed this way?
The unstake/exit button is not available in advance. It only appears during a specific 24-hour window, yet there is no clear countdown timer beforehand warning users when that window will open.
If a user misses those 24 hours, they can remain locked for another ~3 months.
Meanwhile, the interface provides an option to extend/continue staking.
And after finally exiting staking, getting back to native BTC can still involve:
→ up to another ~3 months if the exit window was missed
→ up to 60 days for mBTC → BTC on Merlin
→ another 60+ days for the BTC bridge withdrawal itself
That can turn access to your own BTC into a process lasting many months.
🔟 DEVELOPMENT / COMMUNICATION
Where is the active development?
Why does official communication increasingly appear dominated by generic/AI-style promotional posts while critical infrastructure and withdrawal questions remain unanswered?
Users need technical updates, financial transparency and explanations — not marketing.
1️⃣1️⃣ “21%” BTC STAKING
Why does the BTC staking page prominently display yields of around 21% when the actual returns are closer to 1–2%?
Please stop misleading users with headline figures that do not reflect what they actually receive.
────────────
My intention here is not to predict whether MERL will go up or down.
I simply want people to be careful, as the recent movements involving approximately 80M MERL could be followed by significant price activity.
I will publish on my website the additional information I have been able to collect — including pending and completed bridge transactions, BTC flows, reserve addresses and other relevant data — so anyone interested can review it for themselves later.
I would still prefer to resolve this directly.
@MerlinLayer2 / @CN_Merlin / @BitmapTech — please contact me, explain why my 1.2 BTC withdrawal remains unresolved after ~140 days, and provide a solution for my >100,000 M-USDT that I have been unable to withdraw for almost a year.
