Hier zien we opnieuw een video van kinderen die in #Europa zijn geboren. Tijdens een evenement voor de #Eritrese onafhankelijkheid dragen zij oude militaire kleding en nepwapens op hun rug.Mijn vraag aan #Europese landen is: is dit de toekomst die jullie voor ogen hebben? Ik vraag mij af welke boodschap deze kinderen meekrijgen wanneer militaire symbolen en activiteiten op deze manier worden gepresenteerd.
Vandaag zijn het nog uniformen en nepwapens. Maar waar ligt de grens? Wanneer gaan we serieus in gesprek over de invloed van dit soort activiteiten op kinderen?

Meneer Belay woont in #Nederland Hij heeft de #Nederlandse nationaliteit en is vroeger als vluchteling naar Nederland gekomen. In een interview vanuit Eritrea zegt hij dat Nederland een waardeloos land is, dat hij hier geen waardering krijgt en dat ook de Nederlandse nationaliteit volgens hem niets waard is. Volgens hem is de #Eritrese nationaliteit veel belangrijker en waardevoller. Vluchtelingen die zeggen dat zij uit Eritrea zijn gevlucht vanwege verplichte militaire dienst, nemen in @Europa deel aan bijeenkomsten waarbij militaire kleding wordt gedragen en soms militaire oefeningen worden nagebootst om de onafhankelijkheid te vieren.
Dit roept bij mij vragen op over hoe deze mensen hun eigen verhaal uitleggen en hoe dit past bij hun vluchtmotieven.

Yemane mocks dissenters with “Eri-Influenza.” Sophia calls critics “cowardly scapegoats.” These are not arguments. They are propaganda—empty insults meant to distract from a brutal reality.

The truth about #Eritrea cannot be hidden:
– Indefinite national service trapping generations
– Mass exodus of refugees fleeing despair
– No free press, no elections, no civil society
– Prison cells full of journalists & dissidents

Instead of defending these realities, Meskel & Tesfamariam attack those who expose them. They fear the Blue Revolution because it speaks for Eritrea’s youth, exiles, and silenced voices.

Amb. Tibor Nagy’s record of service speaks for itself. He does not need to answer insults from officials whose only duty is shielding a dictator.

The real question is for Meskel & Tesfamariam:
– How long will you defend indefinite slavery?
– How long will you justify prisons without trial?
– How long will you silence Eritrea’s people for the sake of one man’s power?

No insult can erase the suffering of Eritreans. No propaganda can bury the truth. The people demand freedom, dignity, and democracy—not endless tyranny.

The German government should have prevented the activities of the dictator Iseyas Afwerki on its soil, Instead, it does the opposite, persecuting young Eritreans who strongly oppose the dictator's activities in Germany.

It is deeply concerning to see the authorities resorting to sweeping crackdowns and aggressive tactics against Eritrean justice seekers, without presenting clear and solid evidence to justify these measures.

The actions of the German police – including coordinated raids across multiple countries, targeting community assets and using a heavy-handed approach – raise serious questions about the proportionality of the actions and respect for human rights.

Such an approach undermines public trust in the law enforcement system, and sets a dangerous precedent in which political dissent and activism are prematurely interpreted as acts of terrorism. Broad measures targeting communities based on their political background or opposition do not further security or justice, but only deepen divisions and foster a climate of fear and oppression.
