EXCLUSIVE: Henry AI has raised a $16.5M Series A led by FirstMark.
Used by 150 commercial real estate brokerages to generate decks, the NYC startup is launching a new product, Henry Deal, to automate underwriting.
"We're at the forefront of what I call the hard part of AI."
Two years ago I told @HenryAI_cre's founders not to build their company. Too tough a market.
Last fall I led their $16.5M Series A.
I wasn't wrong about the history. CRE brokers' only inventory is time, and every tool ever sold them asked for more of it. Labor was the software.
I was wrong that this was a fact about the market instead of the products. The moment AI could do the work instead of organize it, the vehicle changed. And I underestimated Sammy and Adam.
150+ firms. Four of the five largest US brokerages. 20K+ deliverables behind $150B in deal value. 15 hours of work down to 30 min of review.
One broker told @UpstartsMedia: "Part of me now is like, 'I don't want too many people to know about this.'"
Just getting started and so excited to work with @TheCRE_Deck_GUY and Adam (the guy behind the deck guy 😅)
Today it's official: Henry has raised a $16.5M Series A, led by @FirstMarkCap, with participation from @TR_Ventures, @SusaVentures, @ycombinator, @storyhousevc, @coalitionvc, @pioneer_fund, and Karman Ventures. And we're launching Henry Deal.
Underwriting, comps, research, and decks — all handled end to end, on your brand. Work that used to take days, done in minutes. Teams at the largest CRE brokerages are on Henry — 150+ firms, $150B+ in deal value.
Built by our co-founders Sammy Greenwall (@TheCRE_Deck_GUY) and Adam Pratt, the team behind them, and the customers who trust us with their deals.

ReTwit:
Have a good friend going through YC now. He's a second time founder, and the first co did quite well
He's building an AI tool that automates a custom BOV or OM. I've tried it and it's straightforward drag & drop. Highly recommend any brokers or large owners try it out
YC S24's @Henry_AICopilot automates repetitive presentations and financial modeling, so commercial real estate (CRE) brokers can get back to what they do best: selling.

Thank you @JoeBiden for serving your country proudly for decades through thick and thin. despite all the personal adversity you had to fight through and overcome you never gave up. Let that be a lesson to us all.
@netflix have you ever considered doing a reality tv show on watch dealers? This guy Moses is such a personality just needs professionals filming https://t.co/2X3WBsG5H8
Headcount as a vanity metric at startups has always been sort odd.
It's like, "Oh, you built your company with 50 people and $5M of payroll?
Cool, we have 250 people, $25M of payroll and spend 60% of our time debating 'swim lanes' between teams."
Headcount sucks
