From 2020 to 2024, if you were building an L1 you got immediate funding from everybody, VCs backed it as the future of finance. That's not going to happen again."

It's not enough to just be faster and cheaper, Solana already beat ETH on that and it's really hard to beat Solana now, it's a marginal TPS game nobody cares about. The L1s are going to need apps on their chain that are actually doing well, and I think that design space has barely been explored."
