@AllezLesBoulez sure mls quality is well below epl, but it's comparable to many wc matches (apples & oranges, i know) & personally i think a geographic connection is far more likely to stick than arbitrary decision to support liverpool (especially if you can go in person once or twice a year)
Dan Goldman lost his race, so now he's on CNN inventing slurs and tropes I never uttered. I challenged you before, @danielsgoldman. Quote one thing I actually said. You won't, because you can't.
And I'm not surprised by @jaketapper laundering baseless accusations against me. He's auditioning for the Ellisons to join his mate Bari Weiss. I can understand.
@Is_Not_Brian@willmenaker I'm shamefacedly mostly supporting the u.s., at least until they face a deserving team (shoulda been iran in the next match) and that was a red every day of the week
@Is_Not_Brian I don't know Liga MX well at all but 'Chivas USA' was one of the dumber things in MLS, and the league has had more than its share of dumb things
@Is_Not_Brian but you're 100% right that the two big groups are rich woke hipsters & mexicans, and a functional youth system that isn't driven by shortsighted profit motive is probably the only way to merge these groups
@Is_Not_Brian soccer culture in the u.s. can only really get better when the youth system is integrated into regular life & isn't the $$-pay-to-play mess that it is currently. in the meantime the culture in the pnw is probably about as good as it could be
@ZaidJilani it might be a liability but imo this is stuff he genuinely believes, and being 'genuine' is a huge part of his appeal. it'd be far worse not to answer directly & fully when asked
@Is_Not_Brian I was only able to watch the first half but it was one of the more enjoyable I've seen of the tournament, though at the half I expect Morocco to usually win well before penalties
