@medmalreviewer We have an ‘MRI spinal survey’ order that runs the entire C/T/L spine as fast or faster than a dedicated specific level MRI. Radiology can sufficiently read for the various cord compression syndromes/pathologies. We try to use this order exclusively now for these cases

@BenjaminAbella Hear that same phrase over and over. Similar to other preventive health recs that people may scoff (smoking, diet, etc). The mentality: Ignore/downplay until I actually have ‘the disease’ and now I want the tx. It’s understandably scary to actually get sick. Easy to ignore before

@Danimal_MD@DDanovich My general practice in the older adult who is hypotensive (and at risk of hyponatremia) is to start an initial LR bolus of +/- 500cc while waiting for labs and reassessing BP/perfusion/mental status. If no response, pressors until labs return. Then small fluid w/frequent Na chks
