From today, all ECMWF graphical products are free and accessible to all! Medium-range, extended-range and long-range forecast charts of temperature, wind, precipitation, clouds and ocean waves are just some of the products available. https://t.co/xMjXfBiZlR @CopernicusECMWF@WMO
@stormchaserjs@FPappenberger as mentioned, for a number of reasons, this is not what we generally do. But we are looking at options how to address this issue possibly by using a shorter model climate
@stormchaserjs@FPappenberger we are discussing how to deal better with this issue. Generally speaking ECMWF is not bias correcting its forecast products if this is what you meant with BC
A nice visualisation and interesting use both of @CopernicusECMWF@ECMWF ERA5 data and of free weather API https://t.co/ivRvVOSqrX making the data easily accessible!
We know #GlobalWarming is real. But how have temperatures developed in different locations around the globe?
I built a web app that creates graphs like this for most places on earth. It shows how daily temperatures compared to a reference period (by default 1961-1990).

Actually during the same week the @ECMWF European Weather Cloud was also used to support the Data Assimilation training course https://t.co/RMBSWXSxvo. This cloud can support not only one virtual classroom but many at same time: a Virtual School!
Another example of using the European Weather Cloud (https://t.co/ufHGIETJcx) at @ECMWF to support training activities. These cloud resources are also available for research projects as part of https://t.co/AgXYzsN3Je

Had a very interesting and productive week at the OpenIFS workshop. Lots of exciting developments coming which will help our research in @INAR_fin@KumpulaScience. Thanks to @ECMWF for supporting OpenIFS and organising the workshop
Have you got a weather or climate project idea for which you need #ComputingResources?

Very glad that @ECMWF services, both European Weather Cloud and ClimetLab, have been used and provided useful support to this important EUMETNET initiative (https://t.co/lhnDS1AxSC)
Important paper from @ProfMatsuoka@thoefler et al. https://t.co/Ne0sVLfRfd captures, in a succinct and readable form, important areas of uncertainty and debate in #HPC. There is surely *some* truth in each myth presented, except for the word ALL in each case. But how much?
