Let's recall:

The woman's name is Chitra Ramkrishna, the former CEO and Managing Director of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India.

🔍 Who is Chitra Ramkrishna?

Chitra Ramkrishna was one of the founding members of the NSE and rose to become its first woman Managing Director and CEO.

She was considered a powerful and pioneering figure in India's financial sector.

⚠️ What was the controversy / crime?

Chitra Ramkrishna was at the center of a major corporate governance scandal at NSE, popularly known as the “Yogi scam”.

🧾 Key allegations:

1. Leaking confidential information:

She was accused of sharing sensitive internal NSE information with an unknown 'spiritual guru', whom she claimed was guiding her from the Himalayas via email.

The CBI and SEBI alleged that this so-called guru had influence over major business decisions at NSE.

2. Unfair appointment practices:

Ramkrishna appointed Anand Subramanian as a top executive at NSE without proper qualifications, bypassing due process. He was allegedly linked to the 'guru'.

3. Co-location scam:

This involved giving select brokers unfair access to NSE servers, allowing them faster trade execution and profits—leading to an unfair advantage and a market integrity violation.

🧑‍⚖️ Consequences:

She was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in 2022.

SEBI imposed a ₹3 crore fine, and barred her from holding any leadership role in a listed company for several years.

The case raised questions about regulatory lapses and lack of accountability at the highest levels of Indian finance.

MDL-ஐ இழந்தது யார்? உண்மையை மறைத்து TVK மீது புழுதி வாரியவர்கள் பதில் சொல்லட்டும்!

மெசகான் டாக் லிமிடெட் (MDL) தூத்துக்குடியில் ₹15,000 முதல் ₹18,000 கோடி வரை முதலீடு செய்து உலகத் தரம் வாய்ந்த கப்பல் கட்டும் தளத்தை அமைக்க 2025 செப்டம்பரிலேயே தமிழ்நாடு அரசுடன் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்திருந்தது.

MDL தனது இயக்குநர் குழு ஒப்புதலையும் பெற்று, திட்டத்திற்காக அரசின் பதிலை எதிர்பார்த்து காத்திருந்ததாகவே செய்தியில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஆனால் அதற்கிடையில் 2025 டிசம்பர் 7 அன்று HD Hyundai நிறுவனத்துடன் திமுக அரசு தனிப்பட்ட ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டது. பின்னர் MDL-க்கு எந்தத் தெளிவான பதிலும் அளிக்கப்படவில்லை என செய்தி தெரிவிக்கிறது.

இப்போது MDL ஆந்திரப் பிரதேசத்தை நோக்கி நகர்ந்துள்ளது.

🔹 ₹18,000 கோடி முதலீட்டை கொண்டுவர தயாராக இருந்த இந்தியாவின் முன்னணி அரசு நிறுவனம் ஏன் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டது?

🔹 MDL காத்திருந்தபோது HD Hyundai-க்கு மட்டும் முன்னுரிமை ஏன்?

🔹 போட்டி ஏல நடைமுறை, வெளிப்படைத்தன்மை, சம வாய்ப்பு ஆகியவை பின்பற்றப்பட்டதா?

🔹 இந்த விவகாரம் திமுக ஆட்சிக் காலத்தில் நடந்திருக்கும்போது, அதனை மறைத்து TVK மீது குற்றச்சாட்டு சுமத்துவது ஏன்?

உண்மையை மறைத்து அரசியல் செய்யலாம். ஆனால் ஆவணங்களை மறைக்க முடியாது.

MDL வெளியேறியது இன்று அல்ல. அதற்கான விதை திமுக ஆட்சியிலேயே விதைக்கப்பட்டது.
