Safeguarding an Ancient Therapy for Holistic Well-being

Glad to inaugurate 'ACUCON 2026: National Conference on Acupuncture' in Nagpur today.

My two-decade association with acupuncture stems from a personal experience. After trying several treatments for severe back pain, I found lasting relief through acupuncture. This first hand experience has given me deep faith in the immense potential of acupuncture.

Acupuncture is a time-tested therapy that has existed for many centuries. Based on a deep understanding of the human body, it works by stimulating specific Marma points and different parts of the body.

Recognising its potential, we established the Maharashtra Acupuncture Council in 2015. Since then, institutional frameworks have been strengthened across the state to promote education, training and the practice of acupuncture. Our government remains committed to expanding this field, strengthening educational avenues and addressing the challenges faced by the sector.

It is important to preserve and support the acupuncture therapy so that many more can realise its benefits. Assured of actively communicating with Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji and Hon Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda ji regarding steps to be taken to safeguard this field and will continue to serve as an ambassador for this cause.

Maharashtra Council of Acupuncture Administrator Dr. Rumi Beramji ji, Chairman of the National Coordination Committee of Acupuncture, Delhi, Dr. Raman Kapur ji, President of Ayushman Acupuncture College and Hospital, Nagpur, Dr. Trideep Guha, and other dignitaries were present.

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी आज नागपूर येथे 'ACUCON 2026 : नॅशनल कॉन्फरन्स ऑन ॲक्युपंक्चर'चे उदघाटन केले.

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले, आपण प्रत्यक्ष डोळ्यांनी जे अनुभवतो, त्यावर आपला विश्वास दृढ होतो. ॲक्युपंक्चर उपचारपद्धती ही अशीच अनुभूती देणारी उपचारपद्धती आहे. माझ्या तीव्र पाठदुखी आणि फ्रोजन शोल्डरच्या त्रासावर ॲक्युपंक्चर उपचारपद्धती प्रभावी ठरली. या वैयक्तिक अनुभवामुळे ॲक्युपंक्चरबद्दल माझा दृढ विश्वास निर्माण झाला.

ॲक्युपंक्चर ही शेकडो वर्षांची प्रभावी उपचारपद्धती असून सर्वांगीण आरोग्यासाठी तिची महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका आहे. या उपचारपद्धतीचे महत्त्व ओळखून महाराष्ट्र शासनाने 2015 मध्ये महाराष्ट्र ॲक्युपंक्चर परिषद स्थापन केली. या निर्णयामुळे राज्यात ॲक्युपंक्चरला संस्थात्मक स्वरूप प्राप्त झाले असून, महाराष्ट्राच्या धर्तीवर राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरही राष्ट्रीय ॲक्युपंक्चर परिषद स्थापन होणे आवश्यक आहे. त्यामुळे संशोधन, प्रशिक्षण आणि चिकित्सा व्यवस्थेला अधिक बळ मिळेल, असे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले.

या ज्ञानशाखेचा विस्तार व्हावा आणि तिच्या शैक्षणिक संधी अधिक व्यापक व्हाव्यात, यासाठी महाराष्ट्र सरकार प्रयत्नशील आहे. या क्षेत्रासमोरील अडचणींची मला पूर्ण जाणीव असून त्या दूर करण्यासाठी राज्य सरकार पूर्ण क्षमतेने प्रयत्न करेल, असेही मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले.

यावेळी महाराष्ट्र ॲक्युपंक्चर परिषदेचे प्रशासक डॉ. रूमी बेरामजी, नॅशनल कोऑर्डिनेशन कमिटी ऑफ ॲक्युपंक्चर, दिल्लीचे अध्यक्ष डॉ. रमन कपूर, आयुष्यमान ॲक्युपंक्चर कॉलेज अँड हॉस्पिटल, नागपूरचे अध्यक्ष डॉ. त्रिदीप गुहा व इतर मान्यवर उपस्थित होते

Delighted to flag off the Bodhgaya Darshan Railway Yatra under the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana.

Bodhgaya is the sacred land where Bhagwan Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, blooming timeless thoughts of peace and compassion. Having personally experienced the profound, divine energy of Gaya during my visit in 2020, I am deeply moved to see our elders embark on this spiritual journey.

We launched this scheme specifically for our senior citizens who have always held a lifelong desire to visit such sacred pilgrimage sites but were held back by personal challenges or a lack of travel facilities. Glad that today, 800 pilgrims are on their way to experience the peace and blessings of Bodhgaya.
