@markminervini I understand your point about the risk mgmt aspect of stop-loss, but still disagree that it’s an absolute. 25% correction in MSFT is not the same as a 25% correction in TSLA. Quality of the underlying makes all the difference.

@homesteadpilot I totally get your point. As a dad myself, any offer I make to others, I'd first consider whether a family member might benefit from the same offer. You were even willing to buy dad's truck for $10k (2x dealer's trade-in value), so would've been a win-win.
