Vasudevan Lab

Cancer signaling, (single cell) genomics, and functional genetics, with an emphasis on better diagnostic tests and treatments for neurofibromatosis.

[Vasudevan Lab @VasuLabUCSF]

Delighted to host the first annual @VasuLabUCSF holiday party - grateful to work with these people every day.

[Vasudevan Lab @VasuLabUCSF]

It's official — the Vasudevan Lab received its first @NIH_NCI R01 to study neurofibromatosis tumor suppressors in nerve sheath tumors! Grateful to @UCSFRadOnc @NeurosurgUCSF @UCSFCancer @ChildrensTumor @ntapresearch @GilbertFamilyFd. It takes a village.

[UCSF Radiation Oncology @UCSFRadOnc]

Exciting new paper by @VasuLabUCSF et al! "IFN signaling is associated with radiotherapy response in malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors" https://t.co/oiTIe6qMfw @NeurosurgUCSF @UCSFHospitals

[Journal of Clinical Investigation @jclinicalinvest]

This study is directly relevant to the clinical care of patients with the most common malignant tumor of the peripheral nervous system, while providing fundamental biological insight👇

Harish N. Vasudevan @VasuLabUCSF & team @UCSF reveal transcriptional, functional genetic, and cellular mechanisms of interferon signaling that underlie radiotherapy response in people with #MPNST: https://t.co/MTZBGbcENY

[JCI insight @JCI_insight]

NF1 is frequently mutated in #glioblastoma, yet therapies targeting this alteration often fall short.

@VasuLabUCSF & team @UCSF now show NF1 mutant glioblastomas exhibit prognostic signatures with distinct sensitivity to MEK inhibition: https://t.co/FRfozC2Arh

[Vasudevan Lab @VasuLabUCSF]

Excellent time giving grand rounds last week @UMRogelCancer with old friends @gouthamnarla and new ones @castro2355_mg @UCSFCancer @NeurosurgUCSF

[Vasudevan Lab @VasuLabUCSF]

Happy 4th of July - to celebrate, we asked if there is meaningful heterogeneity within somatic NF1 mutant glioblastomas? We think so https://t.co/LWwT0hcY2T As always, appreciate everyone that made this work possible @NeurosurgUCSF @UCSFCancer @ntapresearch @ChildrensTumor

[Neurofibromatosis Therapeutic Acceleration Program @ntapresearch]

A delightful time catching up with 10 of NTAP’s 18 Francis S. Collins Scholars & their mentors while in Brussels @ChildrensTumor. Thank you all for your dedication to moving the needle in NF1 research! #NFCON24 #endNF

[Vasudevan Lab @VasuLabUCSF]

Sunrise-ish run through brussels - enjoying every part of the annual @ChildrensTumor meeting #nfcon24 with friends from @NeurosurgUCSF @ntapresearch

[Vasudevan Lab @VasuLabUCSF]

Excited that our DoD New Investigator Award (https://t.co/lX54TSeRJu) is officially funded - thanks to everyone that helped make this happen @CDMRP @domespo @simanshu and time to get to work!

[Vasudevan Lab @VasuLabUCSF]

A pleasure to review the therapeutic landscape for NF-1 with my future colleague @bnamd87 https://t.co/F9k2RwaKVO

[UCSF Neurosurgery @NeurosurgUCSF]

Additionally, in a study led by @VasuLabUCSF & @LabRaleigh, researchers demonstrate how NF-1 mutant Schwann cell tumors undergo malignant transformation, identifying new potential strategies against treatment resistance: https://t.co/O3NAcgFWGq @UCSFCancer #neurofibromatosis
