یہ بیچاری اسلام آباد پہنچ گئی پشتو بولتی ہے دس دن سے مختلف علاقوں میں رل رہی ہے ۔

ایک پشتو سمجھنے والے پولیس والے نے اس کو پکڑا تو پتا چلا کہ یہ زہنی معذور ہے بیچاری بھوکی تھی انہوں نے کھانا کھلایا

یہ کاسی روڈ / حاجی غیبی روڈ، کوئٹہ کی رہائشی ہے اور اس کی عمر 24 سال ہے۔

جیسے کل آپ نے کراچی والے بچے کو سب تک پہنچایا تو الحمداللہ اس کے والدین کا پتا چل گیا

تو اس بچی کا بھی فرض ادا کریں ہوسکتا ہے کہ آغواء کرکے کوئی لے آیا ہو

Before Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), there was “no person on earth” who had “this name as his name.” Today, more than 400 million people in the world have his name as their name. No name has been given to men in such large numbers other than the name, Muhamad. The most recited name in the world is Muhammad, which means ‘The Most Praised One’.

The name is eulogized billions of times every day by devout Muslims in the four corners of the world. The name, Muhammad is glorified aloud, with respect and reverence, each time the call for prayer is given at every mosque in the world five times a day.

Be it Africa, the Americas, Australia, Europe or the continent of Asia, Muhammad’s (PBUH) name is loudly proclaimed as the Prophet of Almighty Allah.

All this is not just the case in the 21st century; this has been the practice of his followers over the last more than fourteen hundred years. Muhammad occupies pivotal place in the heart, mind and soul of a Muslim.

The name Muhammad has the widest pronunciation and spelling variants. Depending on the geographical region, Muhammad has been pronounced and written among others, as: Muhammed, Mohammed, Mohamad, Mohammad, Mohamed, Mahmet, Mahmett, Mahmmet,Mahmat, Mehmed,Mehmad, Muhammet, Muhamed, Muhamad, Mukhammed, Mokhammed, Mukhammad, Mukhamed, Mokhamed, Mokhamad, Mokhamat, Mokhammet, Mokhammat, Muhanmode, Muhanmod, Muhanmad, Muhanmed, Mukhammyed, Mokhammyed, Mukhammyad and Mohamyed.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would always be relevant because he is undoubtedly the greatest reformer of the world. Alphonse de Lamartine, commenting on Muhammad, thus writes, “If greatness of purpose, smallness of means, and astonishing results are the three criteria of a human genius, who could dare compare any great man in history with Muhammad?”

Allah says in the Qur'an:

“Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe, send your blessings on him and salute him with all respect”

Allama Iqbal writes:

“In the Muslim’s heart is the home of Muhammad, all our glory is from the name of Muhammad (PBUH).”

May it be a Muslim living in KSA, Iran, Pakistan, India, Qatar, Egypt, Nigeria, China, UK, Russia, US, his heart beats in love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Prime Minister @andyburnham and Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband : how much longer will Britain remain silent?

For three years the father of my two sons, and Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has been brutally penalised by his political opponents, in a personal vendetta by Army Chief, Asim Munir,  which according to the UN,  amounts to torture and which  is now taking a potentially fatal toll on his physical and mental health. 

He has endured 3 years of solitary confinement. For nearly ten months now his family has been denied contact with him. He has been deprived of the most basic human contact, denied access to books, lawyers and doctors.

The international human-rights standards are unequivocal. Under the UN’s Nelson Mandela Rules, solitary confinement lasting more than 15 consecutive days is prohibited and amounts to torture.

He has endured this treatment not for 15 days, but for three years.

Pakistan’s own Supreme Court has now intervened: ordering comprehensive  medical treatment, access to his personal doctor, regular family visits and twice-weekly calls with his sons.

Yet those orders are being defied.

This is no longer simply a Pakistani political matter. It is a human-rights emergency.

He has deep and lifelong ties to Britain. He studied at Oxford University, captained Oxford University cricket and spent years playing county cricket in England. His relationship with this country stretches back more than half a century. His charitable activities were internationally recognised, and  include building the only free cancer hospital in Pakistan as well as a university.

His sons, my two boys, Sulaiman and Kasim, are British citizens. They have been forced to watch their father’s health decline from thousands of miles away, prevented from visiting him, denied visas, publicly threatened by government officials with arrest themselves, and even denied court-mandated regular phone calls. 

I have repeatedly appealed to the UK government to intervene. Purported attempts at back channelling have evidently failed. The previous Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy informed me in writing that Britain would not  intervene if my sons, British citizens, are arrested when they travel to Pakistan to visit their father. 

@FCDOGovUK: Britain must now speak out publicly and unequivocally. Demand that Pakistan comply with its own Supreme Court;  restore Imran Khan’s medical access, his right to see his family, end his prolonged isolation and uphold his fundamental human rights.

Pakistan is a Commonwealth country. Britain has a long and proud tradition of standing against arbitrary detention, inhumane treatment and the denial of fundamental rights. Those principles mean very little if we invoke them only selectively and neglect them when inconvenient.
This an appeal to the new Burnham government  to please now do the right thing.

Karbala was not a defeat.

This must be understood. Without understanding this, you cannot understand anything about why Iran fights the way it fights, with the commitment it has, in the face of what it faces.

In 680 CE, Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet, took a small group of seventy-two companions and family members to stand against the army of Yazid at a plain called Karbala. He knew he was going to lose. He knew most of them would die. His companions knew it too. He gave them every opportunity to leave. Some did. Most stayed.

They fought. They fell. Hussein was killed. His head was taken. The women and children were taken prisoner.

By every conventional measure: a defeat. A massacre.

And that defeat has been burning in the hearts of hundreds of millions of people for nearly fourteen hundred years.

Not as a wound to be avenged and then forgotten. As a permanent reference point. As the axis around which a certain understanding of justice and resistance and the willingness to stand for truth regardless of the odds has organized itself for fourteen centuries.

When an Iranian soldier goes to war, he understands himself in relation to Karbala. When an Iranian martyr falls, he understands his fall in relation to Karbala. When the movement suffers losses, it understands those losses in relation to Karbala.

The defeat at Karbala became the spiritual engine of a resistance tradition that has not stopped running since.

The empire has no historical reference point that functions like this. It has no equivalent depth of motivational infrastructure. It has soldiers who are paid and trained and equipped.

Iran has soldiers who believe. These are not the same thing.
