Every 24x7 banking service has a banker behind it and a family waiting at home. We agreed to the 5-day week in March 2024 and accepted longer weekday hours. The regulator, the insurer and the Government all work 5 days.
Our demand is just. The delay is not.

Bankers keep India connected 24×7.
But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.
A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.
The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.
Implement 5-Day Banking now.

5 Days Banking is not just a demand—it is a long-pending need. INBOC stands firmly for 5 Days Banking in the banking sector. Modern banking, digital services and changing work practices make this reform both relevant and necessary. 5 Days Banking — A step towards better work-life balance and a more modern banking system

Fewer working days promote efficiency. Banks can streamline operations and serve customers better on a focused schedule. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBEA@PMOIndia
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.

@pintu1981x@bankmajdur@DFS_India@FinMinIndia@nsitharaman@LabourMinistry Kabhi CO office ya block office gaye ho??
Garmi ki chutti me court me judgement nahi hota hai uske bare me kabhi soche ho??
Waha awaz nikal pate ho kya??
Gyan ki potli kholte ho waha??
Potli dekhne wala v koi hota hai kya waha??
Bank employees are the backbone of India’s financial system, powering inclusion, safeguarding stability, and enabling growth.
Yet, they’re still denied a humane work–life balance.
A 5-day work week in the banking industry isn’t a “perk”, it’s a long-overdue necessity. The commitment has been made. Now it must be honoured.
Act now. Implement a 5-day week for bankers too, without delay.

Offering a 5-day banking week can cultivate stronger team dynamics, leading to better collaboration and teamwork. #Implement5DayBanking https://t.co/zbuFCuMJGT
A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.
