We anticipate the evacuation orders for Mountain Home Village, Forest Falls, Angelus Oaks, and Seven Oaks will remain in place for at least the next two days. Fire crews are working tirelessly to ensure these areas are safe for residents to return. Thank you for your patience.
The #BridgeFire hit #Wrightwood quickly this week. The community and firefighters worked together to protect homes and lives:
1️⃣ The community was prepared
2️⃣ Residents had a plan
3️⃣ They followed it
4️⃣ #SBCoFD, @LACOFD, and the @Angeles_NF had a plan
5️⃣ Evacuations allowed firefighters to focus on structure defense
6️⃣ Homes had defensible space that helped crews save property
Thank you to the residents of #Wrightwood for being prepared.
-Public Service Announcement-
Decisions to evacuate an area and lift evacuation orders are not taken lightly. A significant amount of planning and discussion is had. We know it is inconvenient to evacuate your home, but your safety is our top priority.
Fire personnel work 24/7 to make your communities safe to come home to. We meet daily with the goal of getting you home.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the law enforcement agencies assisting us in protecting our communities during this challenging time. Their support is crucial in ensuring the safety of residents and coordinating response efforts.
You may see officers and vehicles from several police departments including the National Guard in the area.
Their presence is to help maintain safety, assist with evacuations, and provide support to emergency responders. We are grateful for their dedication to our community’s well-being and for the collaboration that allows us to continue serving you effectively.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I had the opportunity to visit with our deputies and invaluable Citizen Volunteers who are safeguarding the Wrightwood area from the Bridge Fire.
I couldn’t be more proud of the efforts they put in to evacuate residents, secure properties, and help transport animals to a safe location.
Many thanks to our culinary team who was on hand to provide meals to those on the front line.

We are fortunate so have the most dedicated and hard working men and women in our volunteer forces division.
During the evacuation of the Wrightwood community, these folks rescued and transported animals of all types to safety.
Our residents and your fellow department personnel thank you for all you’ve done, and continue to do, to preserve lives and property during the Bridge Fire.
