TYRIAN for MS-DOS PC (Eclipse/Epic MegaGames/1995) is a cult classic, a shoot 'em up known for its weapon customization, sci-fi lore and memorable soundtrack.
Freeware since 2004, its open source port is called OpenTyrian and is available for several systems.
Fun fact: artist Daniel Cook created Tyrian artwork on his Amiga 1200.
