True. Rta testing for driver license in India is very basic .
And up until now there was no training classes to teach people the rules, hazard perception, and defensive driving.

But all that is going to change shortly in Telangana.
There is going to be a 3- hour compulsory Driver Education online class (6 modules 30 minutes each) which all applicants have to complete.

This class covers about 62 Important Road rules, plus various defensive driving concepts. You can take the class online on your smart phone or laptop.
Hopefully that’ll bring about a change
