In Mumbai we are at the point - where we don't need any NEW infrastructure projects to get started. We just need to complete the existing ones.
And focus on making the city liveable for the majority. Slum Redevelopment/Open Spaces/Trees/Footpaths/Cleanliness.

Sometimes a temporary decision exposes a permanent solution.

It’s time Mumbai seriously considers restricting heavy vehicle movement on major arterial roads from 7am–11pm, allowing structured, regulated movement only during night hours. (11pm to 6am)

If one day can transform traffic flow, imagine what a well-planned policy can do.

Japan achieved a $ 4 trillion economy in 1993 .
It is still around the same GDP 32 years later.
Seeing the sheer incompetence , lax regulation , monopolies doing regulatory capture and the pathetic treatment of consumers , we can see that we run the risk of stalling .
A critical infrastructure like aviation is left at the mercy of poorly regulated , exploitative duopolies with no penalty for holding the nation to ransom and causing misery to lakhs of Indians .
We have to watch out .
China was $ 4 trillion in 2007, they delivered a spectacular growth to reach $18 trillion.
We need stronger governance , stronger implementation of consumer protection and massive liberalisation to allow the sunlight of competition to expose and destroy the comfort zones of exploitative monopolies .
The risk is massive that india stalls despite all the positives we have , due to sheer regulatory capture and monopolies subordinating the National interest to their greed and extortion.
