🔴 The Burundian army has abandoned its senior officers! Because they are Tutsis, that is why they have been accused of fabricated charges claiming that they are Rwandan spies.

Today, it has been one month and one week since two Burundian senior officers who were fighting in the DRC, Major Jérémie Nitunga and Captain Félicien Kanjori, were arrested by FARDC soldiers who suspected them of being Rwandan spies, and then taken to Kinshasa to be imprisoned.

Information we obtain from the Burundian army headquarters states the following:

1. It is true that Major Nitunga and Captain Kanjori are detained in Kinshasa. What their colleagues were told, that they were at the Burundian Embassy, is not true. They are detained.

2. The Burundian army is waiting for them to be tried. If they are convicted and sentenced, the army will immediately stop their salaries.

3. Those working at the Etat-Major Général of the FDNB were also shocked to see the army leaders abandon Burundian senior officers. They told us that they believe the Burundian authorities and the army have now become like servants of the DRC, which is why they say nothing. They all say that this situation is a disgrace for Burundi.

🔴 The DRC often sentences to death soldiers whom it accuses of treason on the battlefield. Such a punishment is not permitted in Burundi. Major Nitunga and Captain Kanjori were on a mission to which they had been sent by Burundi in a country that has friendly relations with Burundi. They were arrested while carrying out their duties. If they committed any offence, it is the Burundian military court that should try them.

What is happening to these senior officers is another sign that the Burundian army has been sold to the DRC. Congo treats them as mercenaries it has purchased, rather than as soldiers of an independent country.

President Ndayishimiye, Minister Nijimbere, General Niyongabo, this is now a serious betrayal you have committed against Burundi.

The reinstatement of Sylvain Ekenge is no surprise. It is clear that Tshisekedi's government was the one that instructed him to publicly make statements aimed at promoting hatred against Tutsis, which is like inciting Congolese people to hate, target, and kill Tutsis.

Let us remember that Tshisekedi's mother, Mama Marthe Kasalu Tshisekedi, asked her son to burn all areas inhabited by Swahili-speaking people in both Kivus and Katanga. Today, this is exactly what is being carried out in Minembwe and many other parts of eastern DRC.

Tshisekedi's government is built on ethnic discriminatory rhetoric, particularly targeting Tutsis and other Swahili-speaking people originating from eastern DRC.

This divisive government does not deserve to have a voice in international organizations, yet all these organizations have fallen asleep and are unable to see the serious crimes being committed by Tshisekedi.

L'annonce de la réintégration du Général Major Sylvain Ekenge comme Porte-parole des Forces Armées de la République Démocratique du Congo (FARDC), est troublante et indécente à plus d'un titre:

1) Il s'agit d'une confirmation, s'il en fallait encore, que les discours de haine contre les Congolais Tutsi et l'idéologie du génocide en RDC ne sont pas l'œuvre de brebis galeuses dans l'armée ou de renégats au gouvernement, mais sont plutôt un projet politique assumé par l'Etat.

2) Il s'agit d'une information qui a été rendue publique, presque en catimini, par un communiqué de Sylvain Ekenge annonçant un événement tragique; et ce, afin d'étouffer ou d'intimider toute critique interne ou internationale, en rapport avec cette réintégration.

Je rappellerais que Sylvain Ekenge avait, le 27 décembre 2025 à la télévision d'Etat RTNC, averti ses compatriotes congolais que "lorsque vous épousez aujourd’hui une femme tutsi, il faut faire attention", prétendant qu'elles font venir des hommes Tutsi vivre au domicile conjugal, les présentant comme des cousins ou des neveux, pour qu'ils servent de géniteurs de leurs enfants, afin de préserver leur "race".

Par cette déclaration incendiaire, le Porte-parole de l'armée congolaise faisait sien le premier des "Dix Commandements du Hutu", publiés en décembre 1990 par le génocidaire rwandais Hassan Ngeze, condamné par le Tribunal pénal international pour le Rwanda (TPIR).

Face au tollé international provoqué par cette déclaration, le Général Major Sylvain Ekenge avait alors été "suspendu" de ses fonctions de Porte-parole de l'armée congolaise, sans pour autant être poursuivi par la justice. Neuf mois après sa forfaiture, l'officier supérieur des FARDC vient d'être réintégré, par la petite porte, dans ses fonctions.
