Hooray!! The @WTO Fisheries Subsidies Agreement has entered into force today - 15th of September 2025! This is the first WTO multilateral agreement to enter into force since the Trade Facilitation Agreement in 2017, and the first multilateral trade agreement to tackle the issue of sustainability of our oceans! Great to leave a legacy for future generations and to deliver on SDG14.6. Photo shows the 114 WTO Members who got us there holding up their blue nameplates. Congratulations to all!
