As a reporter for @BoroPark24 and @Brooknewslive , I’ve sadly witnessed violence many times while covering protests. But today, it hit home.
At a protest in Gravesend, I was physically attacked by a pro-Palestinian protester who grabbed my camera, slammed it to the ground, and shattered it to pieces.
This wasn’t just an attack on me - it was a direct assault on the freedom of the press, a right that must be protected at all costs.

The Morning After: Violent Pro-Palestinian Protest in Boro Park Sparks Concern

Boro Park, one of the most peaceful and predominantly Jewish neighborhoods in New York City (and the world), experienced an unsettling and unprecedented event last night - one that residents never imagined would unfold on their streets.

A group of around a fifty pro-Palestinian demonstrators - a relatively small yet highly disruptive presence - chose to protest not in any other part of the city but in the heart of this Orthodox community. The demonstration quickly escalated, leading to heated confrontations and injuries.

I stood in the center of both sides reporting for @BoroPark24 and truly felt the fear residents had as this was being planned. On the Palestinian side, you hear chants of death and violence. On the Jewish side, you hear singing and joy. The contrast speaks for itself.

As a bochur part of a tefillin project, I’ve often found myself many times at American Dream without tefillin.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a pair available, for me as well as for many visitors, at "The Address" or Jewish food court?
