EMBO Postdoctoral researcher at @Ludwig_Cancer @unil in Immunometabolism & Cancer Immunology Lab @PCHo_Lab. Former PhD student at @CNIOStopCancer @EfeyanLab
I’m thrilled to announce that the paper from my PhD work at @CNIOStopCancer is now available online in @NatureComms ! Incredibly grateful to my supervisor @EfeyanLab, the entire MCS team and our amazing collaborators @Gsabiolab & Ajay Jain, whose expertise has made this possible!
.@_AnaBelenAg & @PCHo_Lab review how aging& diet influence metabolic reprogramming of the tumor–immune microenvironment, contributing to cancer progression & immune evasion as well as strategies to restore antitumor immunity by targeting metabolic pathways https://t.co/IASD7ruEeB
A moderate increase in RagC GTPase signaling drives parenchymal damage, attracting myeloid cells that worsen damage in a 2-step pro-aging vicious cycle.

Excited to see our study officially published today in @ScienceAdvances. Here, we report the identification of HSDL2 as a novel player linking nutritional cues to hepatic lipid metabolism. Here comes a brief summary of our findings! 1/12 https://t.co/YDvzjxVzUz
Between Keystone and joint scientific retreat, we had a fun time to visit Jufen and Taroka in Taiwan for more scientific and career discussion. It is also great to have our lab friend @hecarho and alumni, Jhan-Jie, join us🫶
Researchers at @efeyanlab discover a 'GPS gene' in liver cells that causes them to specialize and hence completes liver maturation after birth
This gene gets activated with the onset of oral food intake

Paper alert from our great @_AnaBelenAg ! mTOR as the hepatocyte GPS: Postnatal control of mTORC1 activity in the liver is critical for the establishment of spatial (portal-central) metabolic differences.

La alternancia de periodos con y sin comida activa un “gen GPS” en las células hepáticas

6/ Our work proposes a postnatal maturation cue instructed by the mTORC1 pathway and operating as a trigger for the execution of latent metabolic programs of hepatocytes that adjust functions to portal-to-central gradient of metabolites as defined by blood supply.
