“The clots caused by #LongCovid are made of unique proteins.. They're not typical #MicroClots we see with other diseases.. they're made up almost fully of abnormal type of fibrin.. amyloid" — Roy Silverstein, hematologist at Medical College of Wisconsin https://t.co/bvN3Yh45xa
“A powerful Democratic lawmaker is interrogating the @NIH over its slow progress in addressing #LongCovid, citing a recent STAT investigation into the agency’s lack of urgency.” https://t.co/uIR3sHfoqM
@BoomslangCreate @KateSpitzmiller @BoomslangCreate can you elaborate on your suspected theroy as to the cause of long covid and why you are confident your particular treamtment would be helpful? Many LH’ers already taking the vitamins you have identified, but interested to hear your thoughts on what is driving sx
@Vickyvdtogt Appreciate you trying to help and all the work you’ve done - but this is a headline grabbing tweet that captures the attention of a group of vulnerable people. Many people trying various treatments searching for answers. Not sure what your statement accomplishes.
@SKZ5422 @BrandonGilles Happy that some things have improved - sorry about the others. Have faith it will come. Hard to see the forrest through the trees, but it’s all we got! I will be starting soon, and following your journey. Keep it up!
@BrandonGilles read through your work. fascinating. a few things: Starting anticoagulant therapy soon; could resolution to clotting issues restore feedback loop for ATP production? any targeted supplements for ATP production? Anything you would highlight/prioritize from protocol?
@dbkell@CFSRemission .@dbkell this interesting. could that mean that breaking one part of feedback loop (e.g. breaking down microclots) we could see complete resolution of symptoms for good? My curiosity lies in if TT is just a band aid treatment and clots will eventually return after treatment?
@doctorasadkhan@BhupeshPrusty@doctorasadkhan@BhupeshPrusty very interesting - anecdotally, I had a flare up of cold sores recently and took Valtrex which led to a complete resolution of symptoms for a few days. Never thought anything of it until I heard this. Thoughts on treating with herpes antivirals?
The NIH has had $1 billion and more than two years to study long Covid. They haven’t enrolled a single patient in a clinical trial, and treatment studies have been repeatedly delayed. @betsyladyzhets of @muckrock and I spent months investigating https://t.co/cPgTX34wRB
