@jachu1999@ScarbsTech@fia@MarelliTech That doc is a great find, it’s a shame there’s so little discussion around the electronic architecture of F1 cars.
@jachu1999@ScarbsTech@fia@MarelliTech I'd be interested to know how much custom data actually ends up on the bus, all the teams are running the same ECU/ECM (a lot of typical ECUs are combined into the one Motion Applied unit as software) so I assume most of the messages (esp those the FIA cares about) are standard
@thilofinn@atc1441 Fairly common in connected devices, especially WiFi things. Let the ESP do all the networking stuff, let the STM32 run the machine and just have the two communicate for things specific to the machine.
@hpdev@awakecoding I don’t believe he’s not expecting the backup resolvers to resolve internal names, they have simply been put in place in case the internal resolver is down, then external names would resolve even if internal names can’t be.
@hpdev@awakecoding I don’t think you’ve quite understood what he’s getting at. If Windows randomly chooses a fallback resolver, that query will fail for the internal name, even if the internal server is actually available.
@crxcked_@underlinux The ONT's serial number is stored in the OLT as it's used to setup the encryption between the two.
It's theoretically possible if the ONT you use allows changing the S/N, but the telco selected that ONT as it works well with the vendor of OLT, so just use it.
