WHEN DRONES ALLEGEDLY SUPPLIED BY MATTHEW VAN DYKE MODULE HIT THEIR MARK.
NIA has listed these videos as proof to build case against suspected the "deep state" asset and his crew.
The video shows how on Feb 20, an MNA ATR-72-600 preparing for a domestic flight from Myitkyina to Mandalay was hit by at least TWO RPG-EQUIPPED FPV KAMIKAZE DRONES supplied to local insurgent groups.
Passengers were boarding when the attack took place at around 8:12 PM local time.
The NIA informed the court that 7 foreigners arrested on charges of plotting terrorist acts against India had carried out drone strike on an aircraft in Myanmar.

As expected, with the fiscal headwinds fading and monetary headwinds (falling credit growth till 1HFY26) becoming tailwinds (credit growth accelerating), GDP growth is surprising on the upside, and should help push up consensus trend-growth estimates to 7%-plus. That is, with a neutral fiscal and monetary policy, the economy should still register 7.5% growth.
In this light, I was shocked to see the ill-educated and egregiously wrong claims made by some that if the 'original' base of June-2025 quarter was used, growth in the June-2026 quarter would be much lower.
The new series introduced in Feb-2026 cleaned up the data and also significantly improved the methodology. For those who track this for a living (and I used to be one such till 45 days ago) - the downward revision in the base was known in March (see our note published on 1-Mar):
https://t.co/3KCHsbIUV9
As our note acknowledged, the new series increased credibility of estimates of real output.
That claim is so obviously wrong that several logical rebuttals have already been made. But bad information tends to travel further than good information, and so it is important to reiterate and reinforce the argument.
That such claims got traction is itself surprising, given that easy-to-track and not-possible-to-fudge indicators of economic activity have been so robust. While June-quarter data was strong, that momentum has picked up:
- personal vehicle (cars, SUVs) dispatches grew 35% YoY in August despite just 9% growth in exports. Even two-wheeler growth is now >20% (though helped by strong exports).
- And if that was consumption, commercial vehicle dispatches grew >40%.
- tax collection growth has picked up meaningfully. This is as real as it gets.
- Credit growth continues to surprise on the upside (albeit on a low base). Last year most believed the then-weak credit growth was a demand problem, whereas we steadfastly stated it was a supply issue - it has for now been addressed.
- indicators of construction are robust.
Hopefully, now there will be fewer people asking "why private sector investment is weak," given that there is clear evidence of investments.
That said, there is still slack in the economy, as seen in weak real-wage growth. It may take several quarters of above-trend growth for that slack to tighten, and bring back sticky inflation pressures.

On 12 August, I filed an RTI with SEBI on CAS.
Reply came in 9 days, faster than the Act requires. 10 questions, 3 groups.
1. Why the timing changed?
The consultation paper said index derivatives would close at 3:30. The circular says 3:40. I asked for the comments received and the record behind that change.
Answer: 45 entities commented on the consultation paper. I asked who they were, by category. Not given.
The rest was refused under Sections 8(1)(a), 8(1)(d) and 8(1)(e). Reason given: it would reveal the mind of the regulator.
2. Whether anyone studied the effect on options?
I asked for any impact study on how CAS would affect option pricing between 3:15 and 3:40, and said if none exists, please say so.
Refused with the same group. Neither confirmed nor denied.
3. Whether anyone checked before go-live?
The circular requires an indicative index to be shown during CAS. I asked whether SEBI had checked, before 3 August, that it was actually reaching retail trading apps.
They sent me a link to the CAS circular. The same circular I had quoted in the question.
SEBI's reason to not disclose all information is that it'd hamper its decision making. But this decision was made in January and has been live since August. There is nothing left to decide on it.
And 8(1)(d) and 8(1)(e) both carry a public interest test written into the Act, which the reply does not touch.
Filing the first appeal.

Why is STT still charged when entering a trade?
Even if a trader ultimately makes a loss, there is no mechanism to recover the STT already paid.
When STT was introduced, there was a justification for it. STCG was lower than slab rates and LTCG was effectively nil. So STT was accepted as a small, simple trade-off by investors and traders.
But today:
• STCG is taxed at the same rate as other asset classes
• Dividend income is taxed at slab rates
• LTCG is also taxed
So what is the justification for continuing STT at the same time?
If the original rationale for STT no longer exists, shouldn’t the Government reconsider it?
More importantly, what safeguards the retail trader or investor when the playing field is becoming increasingly unfavorable?
Regulations keep evolving, but are they really protecting the ordinary retail participant, or are we creating a market structure that increasingly favors HFTs and FPIs over normal retail traders?
Retail investors should not be treated merely as a source of tax and transaction revenue.

The monthly U.S. budget deficit topped $432 billion in July, its highest level in more than half of a decade, the Treasury Department said last week. That monthly report showed the gap for the fiscal year to date climbed to almost $1.8 trillion, above where it was at the same point a year earlier.
The Treasury Department announced this week that the U.S. government debt pile to fund those deficits hit a new record above $40 trillion. The total has more than doubled over the last decade, exacerbating concerns about the country’s financial health.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Thursday there’s a “very good chance” that the U.S. budget deficit under President Donald Trump has likely peaked.

Now imagine the same behaviour by anyone else. Would the reaction be the same?
Funny how “tourist fun” and “bad behaviour” can depend on who is doing it. Rules should apply equally to everyone.

An IIT grad is confusing an alcohol feed with catalytic hydrocarbon synthesis..:((
A few of us were always weak in Chemistry but itne bhi weak nahi, Sir ji...:(
Raw ethanol (C2H5OH) is hydrophilic (absorbs water), phase-separates at high altitudes will cause severe corrosion in aircraft engines. 1 cannot pour raw ethanol into a jet tank.
What global standards (ICAO / ASTM) utilize is Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
Ethanol can be used as a chemical feedstock, but it must undergo an intensive catalytic process (dehydration, oligomerization, and hydrogenation) to convert the alcohol into synthetic paraffinic kerosene.
The end product is 100% aviation grade hydrocarbon chemically indistinguishable from conventional Jet A-1.
The recent administrative amendments in India simply expand the definition of ATF to include SAF to meet ICAO’s CORSIA carbon reduction mandates (1% target by 2027).
Here is target for other countries doing similar work already:
- EU (ReFuelEU): 2% from 2025, rising ~6% by 2030
- UK: 2% in 2025, rising to 10% by 2030
- Singapore: 1% from 2026, rising to 3-5% by 2030
- Japan: 10% by 2030 (target)
