This is a super exciting release - Claude Fable 5 is the same underlying model as Mythos but with added safeguards. The benchmarks are great and it's SOTA on everything by a margin but I'll add that *qualitatively* also, this is a major-version-bump-deserving step change forward (imo of the same order as Claude 4.5 was in November), peaking especially for long problem-solving sessions on very difficult problems. You can give it a lot more ambitious tasks than what you're used to, the model "gets it" and it will just go, and it's never felt this tempting to stop looking at the code at all (but don't do this in prod!). The model still has quirks that people will run into and the safeguards are configured to be a little too trigger happy for launch, which can hopefully be tuned over time.
I feel a lot of things changing as working software increasingly comes out on a tap. The Jevon's paradox kicks in and I feel my own demand for software growing substantially. You can ask for anything - explainers, visualizers, dashboards, bespoke single-use apps (e.g. a full wandb that is hyper-specific just for your project), you can 10X your test suite, auto-optimize code, run giant research projects with custom HTML for the results, anything! "Free your mind" (Matrix ref). Really looking forward to all the things people build!
World Cup defended. What a team, what a performance 🇮🇳
Knockout cricket demands courage and this group delivered. Outstanding efforts from @IamSanjuSamson, @OfficialAbhi04 and @ishankishan51, with the bowling unit led by @Jaspritbumrah93 and @akshar2026. Champions once again 🏆
Jai Hind 🇮🇳
Back-to-back #WorldChampions! Defending a #WorldCup takes character and this team led by @surya_14kumar played with real intent on the biggest stage! 🇮🇳
@IamSanjuSamson@ishankishan51@OfficialAbhi04 were outstanding in the final. Sanju, across the opportunities showed again why he’s a match winner. Ishan was consistent right through and played a solid role in India’s run. @IamShivamDube@hardikpandya7 shifted momentum at will when the game demanded it.
@Jaspritbumrah93 was truly special, the tougher the situation the better he got! @akshar2026 was magical with the ball, picking up crucial wickets, with Hardik, @arshdeepsinghh and #VarunChakaravarthy keeping the pressure on throughout.
Congratulations to coach @GautamGambhir and the entire support staff as well! A lot of hard work goes into moments like this!
India, World Champions again. 🇮🇳🏆

Champions ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Phenomenal win for Team India in Ahmedabad. Absolutely no match for the explosive cricket played by us throughout the tournament. Brilliant character shown by the boys to keep fighting in tough situations and become world champions once again. Congratulations to all the players and all the members of the management for achieving this feat. Jai Hind 🇮🇳❤️
It’s funny how quickly we forget…the records, the fights, the pride, the tears, the sacrifice.
Two games and suddenly everyone’s a critic.
They heard the noise. They read the doubts. They stayed silent…
And let the bat do the talking.
Because legends like Rohit & Virat don’t have to prove a point —
They are the point.

The United States will need workforce development on a far larger scale as well as more expansive hiring approaches from employers. https://t.co/zaUoOJF8tw via @McKinsey_MGI
@PMOIndia@narendramodi@rajnathsingh Sir, this is once in a millennium opportunity for India to put this conflict to rest for once and take back POK. With your leadership, this is possible. Please do not let this go.
@DrSJaishankar Sir, Pakistan has already started violating the ceasefire imposition. With this, don’t you think we are giving another free pass to Pakistan to prepare for the next terror attack. This is a once in a century opportunity to take a decisive action and solve this problem for all.
Usual natural wake up time is 545-6am but every once in a while you need more REM. The trick? See those two short waking bouts toward morning? Then heated the bed. Cold start of night, warm toward waking = big REM increase. TY Matt Walker for telling me this. Oh and 8:17 = late!
Growth is hard. It’s uncomfortable, it’s painful, and it often feels like it “sucks.” But here’s the truth: the result of growth is worth it.
The process of growth doesn’t come from shortcuts or easy wins. It comes from building habits, making the right decisions—even when they’re not the easiest—and showing up for yourself consistently.
Sometimes, it’s about the small things:
•Waking up and deciding to go to the gym, even if you don’t feel like it.
•Telling yourself, “I’ll just do one set,” instead of skipping entirely.
These choices may seem minor, but over time, they add up. Each decision to take the harder but right path helps you grow into a better version of yourself.
Growth isn’t about perfection; it’s about persistence. Every step forward matters, no matter how small. Keep choosing the right path—you’ll be amazed at where it leads. 💪✨

Huberman nails a truth I discovered after years studying motivation: you can't hack your way to genuine drive.
Extrinsic motivators might give us a temporary boost but lasting motivation comes from within.
It's not about finding the right productivity app or morning routine. It's about connecting with what genuinely matters to you.
@chandrarsrikant@shaw_reshab This is sad. For those who were let go, do not be disheartened. Take this as a life lesson to build resilience and work hard for the next opportunity. It’s easier said than done, but happy to connect and advise if you are feeling down.
The AI Arms Race: Autonomous Weapons and Global Talent
The race for AI supremacy is revealing some fascinating shifts in global power dynamics.
A staggering 38% of top AI researchers in the US are Chinese nationals - up from 27% just two years ago.
Even more surprising: China now produces nearly half of the world's top AI researchers, while the US has dropped to 42%.
But the real story isn't just about talent - it's about autonomous weapons.
The US military's "Replicator" program aims to deploy thousands of autonomous drones in 2025. These aren't your typical drones - they can identify and eliminate targets without human intervention.
Sweden isn't far behind. Their armed forces are developing systems allowing one soldier to control up to 100 unmanned aircraft simultaneously.
This isn't science fiction anymore. These systems are already being used in actual conflicts like Ukraine.
Here's what's fascinating:
While nations race to build autonomous weapons, they rely heavily on international talent. The very researchers developing these systems often come from "competitor" nations.
It's like a global game of chess where the players keep swapping sides.
And the economic implications are mind-bending. AI could add $7 trillion to global GDP in just a decade.
92% of executives are planning to increase AI spending, with over half planning significant investments.
The most interesting part?
The timeline for AI breakthroughs has compressed dramatically. What experts once thought would take decades might now happen in months.
As one defense analyst put it: "We're not preparing for the future of warfare anymore. We're living in it."
This isn't just about military power or economic growth. It's about how quickly humanity can adapt to technologies that are evolving faster than our ability to regulate them.
And that might be the biggest challenge of all.
