Great read
"I’m all for young people feeling like part of their community and society, but I think there’s a lot of work that the community and society need to do to make that happen for many young people who have been ‘left behind’."

Just spent a lovely (and snowy!) week doing pupil interviews and focus groups, accompanied by brilliant peer researchers from @TheCfEY's Young Collective. Thanks for the warm welcome @OrmistonAcads

Do you have a role in safeguarding children in education, or in serious youth violence? I'm looking to interview practitioners for some research. If you could spare 45-60mins for an online interview during October, please dm or comment below. @TheCfEY

It's also something i know from experience 🙂 When i failed my AS levels, volunteering with a local charity (while working part-time) helped me work out what i wanted from a career and gave me the skills & confidence to apply for my first paid job with young people
Getting stuck into making a difference in your community is a great idea if you're not sure where to go next 🙂 There's loads of evidence that volunteering, campaigning, caring or working with charities gives you skills, experience and a better understanding of yourself 💪
Getting #AlevelResults2024 today? If you or someone you care about isn't sure what to do next, check out this super helpful @BBCNews guide👇Lots of great options in there, including advice on getting into Youth Social Action from @thecfey's @abi_angus 🙂 https://t.co/RqJvZPsv5K
@ciaranthapar This is great Ciaran. I've been thinking similarly, especially after hearing people shouting 'lock them up' at the racists in Brighton last week, you've worded it really well.
Thinking of all the young people across the country getting their #ALevelresults today and planning their next steps
The BBC has a handy tool for people who aren't sure what's next, including how getting involved in #YouthSocialAction could be beneficial https://t.co/HX03GbH3Bk
