You signed an am agreement with the Somaliland that had a security collaboration component.

Dr. Abdirahman Kulmiye, one of the few Somalis with a PhD in fisheries, has been detained by Somaliland for weeks, if not months. They have wrongfully accused him of working for Somalia.

I urge you to intervene for his release because (a) you are aware that he is not employed by the Somali government, and (b) working for the Somali government is not a criminal act.

As a Somali citizen he HAS rights, and it is the government’s responsibility to protect such rights.

The mayor lost it when he saw that gray-haired man in the group 😂 he’s saying look at you! How old are you to be doing this? A lot us in the west are blaming the actions of #Madaale but Somalia is facing real danger from illicit drugs! We need to address the root cause of this problem! There are powerful cartels including politicians who are importing alcohol & drugs that is menacing many cities in Somalia including #Mogadishu. The government especially the lawmakers have a duty to pass laws governing this epidemic before it’s too late!
