We strongly condemn the reported violence by the DIG squad against young doctors at Civil Hospital Quetta during the Dr. Mah Noor Shah case.

Hospitals must remain violence free zones.

Think of a doctor as a national investment.

A doctor takes:

• 5 years of MBBS
• 1 year of house job
• years of postgraduate training
• public hospitals, teachers, wards, patients and exams

This is not cheap.

So when low pay pushes doctors out, Pakistan loses more than one employee.

Pakistan loses years of training, skill, experience and public investment.

Paying doctors fairly is cheaper than replacing them again and again.

ڈاکٹر دن رات مریضوں کی خدمت میں اپنی زندگیاں قربان کر رہے ہیں، مگر دوسری طرف ہسپتالوں میں کرپشن، اقربا پروری اور ناانصافی اپنے عروج پر ہے۔ اگر واقعی احتساب سب کیلئے برابر ہے تو پھر ان الزامات کی فوری اور شفاف تحقیقات ہونی چاہئیں تاکہ عوام کو بھی پتہ چلے کہ سچ کون بول رہا ہے۔

ینگ ڈاکٹرز ایسوسی ایشن ہر ظلم، کرپشن اور ناانصافی کے خلاف اپنی آواز بلند کرتی رہے گی، کیونکہ خاموشی اب جرم بن چکی ہے۔
