@vanlightly Thanks for sharing. This is inspiring, I am optimizing Iceberg tables with PK support internally. One of my latest idea is to divide bucket into sub sorted range ones, which apparently is optimizing layout! The spatial index goes further, and I think I can learn from that!

@__AlexMonahan__@duckdb You mean something like spanner? Of course, distributed databases could be the solution. However, they are not cost-effective compared to storing metadata files on blob storage. Anyway, it’s all about trade-offs.
