@paul_popov $1k in month one is the easy part, month two is the test. How many paying accounts is that $1000 spread across, and how many of them made it through the first renewal?
@wooing0306 678 new customers in 28 days but 12 active subs is the interesting part. Since killing the trial, did paid-per-signup actually go up, or just fewer people touching the paywall at all?
@evgenyeyt $6.2k last month vs $3.6k MRR means a big chunk was one-off or seasonal. What's monthly churn on those 165 subs, and how many renew once football season ends? That renewal curve is what a buyer is really pricing at $40k.
@matteo_spada 30k installs to $300k MRR only works if the card-required trial converts hard. Do you have a read on their trial-to-paid, and how much of that MRR is annual plans bought day one vs monthly that survives month 3? Card-up-front trials usually hide the churn a quarter out.
@CodeWithKarma 84 signups is enough to read the funnel already. How many of those actually installed the TestFlight build and opened it twice? That install-to-second-session number tells you way more about launch pricing than the tester count does.
@papkemark1@TTrimoreau At $500 MRR and 6 months in, what is your logo churn actually running per month, and did the thing that finally clicked show up as better activation or just more qualified traffic?
@BOfferman49050 25 to 22 paying with cash down ~$124 says the three that left were your smaller accounts, so logo churn is hurting more than revenue yet. How long were those three live before they cancelled, and how many of the 13 current trials are on the same profile?
@pengyuc_ iOS converting and web not usually means the web signups are a different intent, not a worse funnel. Of the 22 iOS payers, how many were still active in month 2, and what did they do in the first 30 days that the 978 non-payers didn't?
@MehulFanawala 736 users to 11 paying with $15.92 MRR reads like the free tier does the whole job. Of those 11, did any of them hit a limit first, or did they just decide to support you? That's usually the difference between a pricing problem and a packaging one.
@fabianbaumert_ 163 signups and 0 active trials is the interesting part - that says the paywall never gets seen, not that the price is wrong. Do you know how many of the 163 reach the moment the app is actually useful, and where they drop before the trial screen?
@ThePresellsGuy@bazzlyai@FilipPanoski Retention and conversion being the priority at 7k is the right read. Of the three channels, which one brings customers still paying in month 3 - reddit-sourced signups usually look great on trial start and worse on renewal for me. What's your trial to paid rate right now?
@nwtseira 900 free and 5 paying a month is a segmentation question more than a shipping one. Do those 5 look like each other - same use case, same acquisition source? If yes, the feature backlog matters less than pointing the free tier at that one segment.
@jdtoelle 148 to 150 users between Ep 2 and Ep 4 with $0 MRR - out of those 150, how many came back a second week? If weekly actives are in the single digits the paywall isn't the problem yet, activation is.
@Thebigspear First 3 is the hardest part. Curious where they came from - same channel or three different ones? At $9/seat-ish the real signal is whether they log in again on day 3 without you nudging them.
@leobons3 83 users to 7 paid is a decent free-to-paid rate at this size. Of those 7, how many are still active in month 2, and what did the converters do in their first 30 days that the other 76 didn't?
@LeadGenMatt Curious on the split: of the $11k across the 6 vertical projects, how much is new logos vs expansion on existing accounts? And is monthly logo churn lower in the niches than it was on ProspectZero?
@Thien55090 33 payments across 28 customers today is a healthy ratio at ~$8k MRR. What does month-2 retention look like on those cohorts — is the climb mostly new logos or are you seeing any expansion yet?
@KoyeBuilds $9.3k to $8.8k with 1,965 subs and 0 active trials is the part I'd dig into — is the dip churn or just fewer new subs? Curious what your monthly logo churn % looks like before the redesign ships.
@jasonfrancisx $6.71 to $1.34 on the same task is a real gross margin unlock, not a micro-optimization. Did that show up as margin, or did you pass it into pricing? Curious what your COGS per active account looks like now versus what you charge.
@huntkyle Blended churn hides everything. When you unblended his book, did the damage sit in one service line or in accounts under a certain spend threshold? Most of the ones I see are really a sub-$X/mo tier that never should have been sold.
