@dmtrubman That’s unfortunately pretty standard for last minute tickets, esp compared to pre-Covid prices 🙁. I used to do NY<=>PHL a lot and the only way to get the $32 ticket during a normal hour was to book weeks ahead. Bus was usually the move besides rush hour.

@akgerber @newdougman @MarketUrbanism I’d imagine it’s part of the rising costs of the city as well. $500-1000 per month for car/insurance/parking is inconsequential to people with the financial ability to pay $8000/mo for housing. It’s purely a calculation of if there is easy parking.

@ABeanTweeting @dansinker About 40 hours based on the tests I’ve seen, where effectiveness drops from the high 90s to low 90s - which is still way way higher than cloth or surgical. If I’m in a riskier environment (airport) I’ll pop on a fresh one, but otherwise reuse for a couple weeks for groceries etc

@erinwb @ftrain A lot of my friends and I went through that at that age. On the whole it's definitely not a great way to spend your teens... but TBH during quarantine it's probably what a lot of their friends are doing as well - hanging out playing games on Discord.
