@djdanij7 Have you ever had a situation where you spent time on creating a new edtech activity for it to only flop! You make a great point, research and practice is key with new resources. #wuedt6020
@MTr8PhysEd I agree! If I felt more comfortable with different resources I think I would utilize them more often. I'm always on the look out for PD opportunities from different websites I make an account on and try out. #wuedt6020
@MichelleDech3 Very true, the time it takes to grade transitions to the time spent making assignments. But an extra bonus that it is saved to reuse years to come! #wuedt6020
@HannumKendra Mobile learning should be implemented where it doubles as a learning moment on how you can use the technologies to benefit your understanding. For example, when finding tip at a restaurant(or percent of a number) teach how to calculate on your phone #wuedt6020
@MichelleDech3 iPads have been a blessing and a curse. I sometimes hesitate to implement a new edtech resource at first due to the amount of times a day I get "it won't let me open". With blocks on student iPads and the uncertainty it will open takes time and patience #wuedt6020
@BlakeMusicTeach This year my district implemented iready. We have had a few trainings but so spaced out! We are half way through the year and just now about to meet and analyze the results of the diagnostic tests. I guess it will be more beneficial for next year #wuedt6020
@tucker_teach With the world changing around us and the use of technology expanding it was about time it would make a major break through in education! Love how you say edtech won't replace, but will enhance!
@slynchmed@EdTechLaura I agree! Theres a need for both traditional and edtech in the classroom. A perfect blend will reach every type of learner in the room and put all the puzzle pieces for a strong education together.
@EdTechLaura Since the pandemic, edtech is more relevant then ever. Teacher and students learned and adapted to this "new" education style. However, one size does not fit all, a mix of traditional and edtech will help meet the needs of everyone in the room! #wuedt6020
@GregWilmU@EdTechLaura@McCoolWILMu I agree! Gamification can be beneficial in all grade levels but will look different in each. Its important to keep up with the interests of your students. Everyone loves a good competition.#wuedt6020
@SchafflerCHS@EdTechLaura@McCoolWILMu I find that not only are the students more engaged but they build stronger connections to the content in a PBL lesson!Nothing better then applying and experiencing real life situations in the classroom. #wuedt6020
@EdTechLaura@McCoolWILMu I am focusing on incorporating the flipped classroom into my middle school mathematics class! With having a new block schedule this year, and transitioning from a virtual classroom last year, flipped learning will allow more in class PBL based lessons and mini groups.
