@MrsWarren182 I have not used social media in the classroom. My school has restrictions on students accessing some social media sites. I believe it is restricted because many students misuse social media sites. #wuedt6035
Edtech lessons are time-consuming on the teacher planning because you have to research/learn/practice the technology before incorporating it into your lesson. The time spent is worth it when the students enjoy the Edtech lesson. #wuedt6020
@ClaireShipley13 I'm sure it is possible to have an entire lesson using EdTech tools but I would not recommend it for my math classes. There are different ways to solve a math problem and some of the Edtech tools are limited to 1-2 ways. #wuedt6020
The pandemic made it possible for every student to have access to technology. My school went from several classrooms sharing one cart of Chromebooks to every student having their own Chromebook. #wuedt6020
@McCoolWILMu@EdTechLaura Absolutely! Education needs to evolve as society does. Aside from the pandemic that forced a shift to distance learning and therefore a heavier integration of EdTech, today's students have had more access to technology in their daily lives than ever before #wuedt6020
The pandemic has increased the creativity within educators. Having to teach from home on a computer screen has created a wave of creativity in learning how to engage students with necessary material. #wuedt6020
Twitter Chat: Wk 4 #wuedt6020 Edtech has enhanced traditional ways of learning. The pandemic forced everyone (educators, students, parents) to embrace edtech for students to continue their education.
Once again this week we will be sharing a Twitter chat with all of #wuedt6020. Ponder what effects the pandemic has had on education technology. Twitter Chat: Week 4.
AI sounds great but I don't think every student will have access to it due to funding. My students only received personal Chromebooks due to COVID. Prior to COVID, I have to share/sign out computers with other Math teachers. #wuedt6020
@McCoolWILMu@EdTechLaura An emerging trend I would like to explore in my teaching practice is artificial intelligence. AI is already impacting the future of almost every industry right now, and it will prove to be an invaluable skill set for information technology professionals of the future.

@djdanij7 Iโve always been told 5-7 minutes, smaller chunks are better for keeping attention and focus. Even as an adult after 7 minutes I start to lose focus #wcuedt6020
@khainsey22 For SEL, I generally check in with students by incorporating a fun Desmos activity where students choose an expression on how they feel and write a short phrase about that expression. I can share the results with the class anonymously. #wuedt6020 wk3

What is the average video time for your flipped classroom? The feedback I receive from 8th graders is that 10 min videos seem to be their max time for them with video instruction. #wuedt6020
@khainsey22 I have a "take a break" corner in my classroom. I have fidgets, play-doh, coloring sheets, and calming music for the students to utilize when they just need a mental break. They love it! #wuedt6020 Week 3
