1/ Excited to share our preprint from @arjunrajlab on clampFISH 2.0: a method for rapid, multiplexed RNA imaging (e.g. 10 genes in 1 million cells in ~1.25 days) @pennbioeng https://t.co/qZOJHhdvKy
If you’ve done conventional single-molecule RNA FISH, you’ll know it is slow…
Okay, just talked to a friend who does all his bioinformatics work in IDL (which only know of because I used it back as an *undergrad* working in a space physics lab). I think he's the only person on the planet who does bioinformatics in IDL. Anybody else?
Allelic correlation is a marker of tradeoffs between barriers to transmission of expression variability and signal responsiveness in genetic networks https://t.co/QF1UeDUigc #bioRxiv
Excited to share my (first) first author preprint from @arjunrajlab + Twitterless Rajan Jain lab "Cell type determination for cardiac differentiation occurs soon after seeding of human induced pluripotent stem cells" https://t.co/1c9yx8QDrV
. @yogeshgoyal03 just accepted our offer and will be joining our Department early in 2022. Yogesh's lab will be developing quantitative experimental and theoretical frameworks to delineate cellular plasticity and fate choices in developing tissues and single cancer cells.
Excited to share some new work w/ @bvanderhyden. Used archetypal analysis to learn features of epithelial-mesenchymal plasticity from scRNA-seq data of 160 tumours spanning 8 cancer types. Transcriptional census of epithelial-mesenchymal plasticitiy: https://t.co/w5e1tjPCKO
It is my great pleasure to introduce *Dr.* @laurenbeck131, who just successfully defended her thesis! I have been so lucky to work with her on her awesome organoid constraint work for the past few years. She is brilliant, talented, and has taught me so much about perseverance.
Day 10 of #madeyoulooktober: not all heroes wear capes but I thought I’d splice together a couple heroines (sorry Edna) - so very glad to have had the chance to work with science and personal hero @allycote
@josephcmays@preLights@_markmacrae@cwb315 @successprocess @ralysmoya @Julianailmain @Nichedmam @LiamHoltLab Thank you all so much for the awesome feedback! Based on your suggestions, we (@BenEmert) totally revamped our paper, and we think it's way better now! Updated version here: https://t.co/wLhSb8Kk68
1/At #HoffmanLab lab meeting we often have tech talks describing useful tools for other lab members. We realized some might prove useful for others, so we're going to publicly post some of the #HoffmanLabTechTalk
Special thanks to Kate (currently of the @berger_lab) for writing a review of @arjunrajlab's rajlabimagetools software (for finding spots in image data)! Review available at https://t.co/tu3BoEJnCu.
