@EE are the most maddening company to deal with - I'm stuck in a neverending doom loop with them.
Charging me for services on an account I can't access - what on earth can you do with appalling companies like this???
Spent literally hours on the phone to them, please save me
@EE When I switched from BT to EE broadband, a new account was created, and it cannot be merged with my EE mobile account despite hours on the phone. Every month I'm being charged for extra services (e.g. Games pass), which I can't cancel or change.
Our lab uses the VEuPathDB DataBase for work on antimalarial drug discovery. It helps us make decisions about suitable drug targets & informs target validation work. Seamless maintenance of the services provided by the @veupathdb Bioinformatics Center is very important.
A shame for the parasitology, mycology, and entomology community.
From a personal standpoint, I have 3 projects ongoing for which I rely heavily on veupathdb (plasmodb, fungidb). Can t wrap that up by September 14th!
This is a baffling decision that savagely curtails our ability to fight against neglected infectious diseases. I imagine pathogens everywhere are celebrating.
A sad day for the parasitology community - A huge thank you to all at VEuPathDB, this resource has been fundamental to the progress of our field over the last 20+ years. Totally baffled by this decision #NIAID
This threatens the ability of researchers around the world to battle important diseases. Malaria, chagas, cryptosporidiosis, and leishmaniasis are just a few of those affected. Why is #NIAID choosing to obstruct its own research goals despite unanimous opposition from scientists?
This is a major turning point for anyone doing research on parasites, vector biology, or fungal pathogens that is going to rock our community! For now, we should give thanks to all the @veupathdb team for everything they have done to support our research for so many years!!
Loss of access to @vectorbase and @veupathdb throws a wrench into the gears of malaria research and progress toward malaria elimination.
Devastating for vector and parasite biology work moving forward, and invaluable to my work on diverse and understudied malaria vector species.
Wow Sam, that's really really crap. 🤢
I'm co-author on a paper in PROTEOMICS that came out literally this month.
I can't believe they don't even run basic plagiarism detection like we do with student essays.
Come on Wiley, what are you doing with all those profits...
Well. It REALLY happened. The plagiarized paper got published.

We have a BBSRC-funded #PhD studentship that is now available in our lab, on the importance of a serine protease inhibitor in skeletal development+health. Project involves stem cells, CRISPR and gene evolution.
Deadline 22nd July.
October 2024 start!👇

Oh no, how will I get any work done...
I've realise that betting odds are shifting quite a bit today on the total Tory seats.
Last time I got this obssesed was Brexit referendum, which ended the day on 1/10 for Remain.
Gamblers beware following the herd 😜
PhD studentship available in my lab on the BBSRC NLD DTP for Oct 24 entry! https://t.co/pUQTYLOSIk . Amazing project using genomics and cool new microscopes to investigate how gene regulation works. Suitable for a wide range of backgrounds - biology, biomed, physics.
