There are many articles coming out every day from a dozen of major media such as @nytimes, @washingtonpost or @WSJ. There are much more from smaller ones like @voxdotcom, @PuckNews, @meduza_en and the like.

@albertwenger I have a concept/idea for a SF/LA/NY set with a single subscription. Existing spaces could work well. Sometimes with not significant improvements (smart locks/security gear, some furniture etc.). Would be glad to share my thoughts.

@albertwenger In my exact case that was a standalone 3-story house approx. 4k sq.ft. total with a one common level and two zones on the outside ground.

@albertwenger Didn't find. My suggestion: for the commercial ones that lowers the funnel, so they prefer less strict things (and drift to hostels quickly). For the private ones: friendship overweights benefits (and drifts to 'students' dorms').

So I've organized a private one ('17–'19).

- noise / physical hygiene
- rules for group events
- clear functional zoning
- friendly familiarizing/onboarding

With all that done properly, co-housing could be among the best experiences ones ever had. Unexpectedly great from ‘downshifting’ to ‘boosting’.

@albertwenger Best practices (IMHO):
- transparent budgeting for the commons
- clear guidelines for visitors
- clear procedure for excluding
- special regular routines for nourishing the “ownership feeling” / self management
- clear vibe/spirit check

Commercial places are different.

@albertwenger After 5+ years of co-housing (including organizing): polls results are valid, savings is a weak factor, my secret-factor is shared interests/goals. Otherwise coliving turns to a usual living community.

@sumerki8 @marieclaire I mean, women safety is high priority for sure. And I thought home charging should have been a big thing for this.

@sumerki8 @marieclaire A good point, most of them could charge the cars at home, not visiting the stations at all. Which is not possible for gas cars.

And in long trips, it takes only a time to stretch your body and eat some snacks. Or do they drive for more than five hours with no stops?
