(Culpable Homicide not amounting to Murder)

The Temple of Democracy in Monsoon Shadows
The Monsoon Session of Parliament 2026 began today, not with purposeful debate, but with familiar chaos, sloganeering, and repeated adjournments. What should have been a season of constructive law-making has already been sacrificed to political theatre, leaving a deep sense of disappointment across the nation.
This is profoundly unfortunate. Every rupee spent on Parliament comes from the taxes paid by ordinary citizens — farmers, workers, teachers, and small traders. When elected representatives turn the House into an arena for venting egos, settling scores, and scoring political points, they betray the very people who sent them there. Citizens elect MPs to raise pressing issues, protect rights, and shape a better future — not to disrupt proceedings and waste precious time.
The contrast is striking. While the monsoon brings renewal to the land, our Parliament is witnessing a drought of responsibility. Issues of national importance are sidelined as opposition protests and government responses drown out meaningful dialogue. The people’s aspirations — jobs, education, justice, and good governance — deserve better than daily adjournments and acrimony.
The question that must be asked, yet is rarely discussed, is this: Are these representatives living up to the expectations of those who elected them? Have they honoured the trust reposed in them, or have they reduced the world’s largest democracy to a stage for personal and partisan battles?
India’s lawmakers must reflect. The dignity of Parliament and the hopes of 1.4 billion citizens hang in the balance. It is time for accountability, restraint, and a renewed commitment to the sacred duty of public service. Only then can this Monsoon Session truly serve the nation it was convened to uplift.
The people are watching. History will judge.

An Open Appeal to Political Parties, Leaders, Organisations, Social Activists, and Self-Proclaimed Patriots
We address this statement with utmost respect and solemnity to all those who, in the name of protest against political, social, educational, or religious events anywhere in the country, issue calls for bandhs, hartals, or shutdowns at the state, city, district, or taluka level, thereby compelling the forced closure of shops, commercial establishments, and public transport.
It is imperative to recognise that every such enforced closure inflicts profound and avoidable economic distress upon the trading and business community — the very backbone of our nation’s economy. Shopkeepers, traders, and small business owners, already reeling under multiple economic challenges, are compelled to bear the brunt of these disruptions. Their daily earnings, which form the sole means of sustenance for themselves and their families, come to a standstill. Fixed costs — rent, salaries, bank EMIs, utilities, and perishable inventory — continue relentlessly, while income evaporates.
Each shopkeeper and entrepreneur carries their own personal, familial, and professional burdens: medical emergencies, children’s education, loan obligations, and the daily struggle to keep their enterprise afloat in an increasingly competitive environment. To forcibly shut down their legitimate means of livelihood, even for a single day, is not merely an inconvenience — it constitutes a direct assault on their fundamental right to earn an honest living and maintain the dignity of labour.
We therefore earnestly urge all political parties, leaders, organisations, and individuals who champion such bandh calls to exercise greater responsibility and empathy. Peaceful, democratic forms of protest that do not trample upon the economic rights and daily bread of ordinary citizens are not only possible but preferable in a mature democracy.
No cause, however noble or emotive, can justify the coercive closure of shops, markets, or public transport. The economic pain inflicted upon the silent, law-abiding business community must be acknowledged and respected. Their survival is not a political tool — it is the foundation of their dignity and the nation’s economic stability.
We appeal to the conscience of all concerned :
Let commerce breathe. Let the common citizen live with dignity. Protest with conviction, but never at the cost of another citizen’s hard-earned livelihood.
Issued in the larger interest of economic justice, constitutional values, and human dignity.

The Root of India’s NEET Paper-Leak Chaos: Greed, Corruption and a Collapsing Moral Order
Across India, the NEET paper-leak scandal has triggered widespread protests, street violence, political opportunism, slogan-shouting mobs and the destruction of public property. What began as outrage over a compromised medical entrance examination has rapidly descended into disorder. When one steps back from the noise and examines the pattern carefully, a single, uncomfortable truth emerges: the real disease is not the leak itself, but the deep-seated hunger for easy money, the casual disregard for law, and a culture of corruption that has infected almost every level of society.
At its core, this crisis is driven by greed. The intense competition for a limited number of medical seats has turned education into a multi-crore industry. Coaching empires, middlemen, corrupt officials and even some parents are willing to buy or sell question papers for enormous sums. The calculation is simple and ruthless: a leaked paper can open the door to a high-paying medical career, social prestige and lifelong financial security. When the potential reward runs into crores, the fear of punishment becomes secondary. This is not merely individual dishonesty; it is a collective criminal mindset that treats rules as obstacles rather than boundaries.
Several deeper failures feed this mindset. First, public faith in the justice system has eroded. Citizens no longer believe that the law will protect the honest or punish the powerful. Second, criminals themselves feel little real fear of consequences. Third, government institutions remain riddled with corruption, indifference and a lack of professional integrity. Fourth, a visible double standard persists: the wealthy and well-connected often receive bail or soft treatment, while ordinary citizens face the full weight of the law. Finally, the lingering VIP culture and the absence of genuine social equality send a daily message that rules apply differently to different people.
If India is serious about ending paper leaks and the violence that follows them, half-measures will not suffice. The following concrete steps are essential:
Rebuild public trust in the rule of law through consistent, transparent enforcement.
Apply the law with genuine severity against those who organise, facilitate or profit from leaks—no exceptions for status or political connections.
End the “bail for the rich, jail for the poor” reality by reforming bail practices and ensuring equal treatment.
Immediately dismiss and prosecute any government employee caught taking bribes; zero tolerance must replace endless departmental inquiries.
Completely dismantle VIP culture in public life so that privilege no longer shields wrongdoing.
Enforce genuine social equality so that opportunity is not bought or inherited.
Purge politics of both authoritarian tendencies and institutionalised corruption.
Foster a renewed sense of moral responsibility among citizens—towards society, towards the nation, and towards the next generation.
Paper leaks will continue as long as the reward for cheating remains higher than the risk of punishment, and as long as society quietly accepts that money can buy almost anything. Ending this cycle requires more than better question-paper security or stricter exams. It demands a cultural and institutional reset: a society that values integrity over shortcuts, a state that fears no one and favours no one, and citizens who understand that the easy path of corruption ultimately destroys the very opportunities they chase.
Only when greed is outmatched by the certainty of consequence, and when honesty once again becomes the safer and more respected choice, will scandals like the NEET paper leak finally begin to disappear.

@RakeshMumbai78 Common people keep paying taxes on time, yet when we raise genuine issues, the government turns a blind eye. What exactly are we paying for services or silence? This complete neglect is unacceptable.
For the past 12 days, the electricity supply to the Pannalal Terrace building—located on Dr. D.B. Marg, Grant Road East—has been subject to frequent interruptions. Consequently, the situation has become extremely distressing for the hundreds of residents living in this building.
LDue to these recurring power outages, electrical appliances installed in the homes have also begun to malfunction. When local residents approached the BEST administration staff regarding this issue, they were told that an underground cable wire was overheating, which was the root cause of the problem. Furthermore, the staff claimed that a permanent solution would remain elusive until the cable completely burns out and is destroyed.
I would like to ask the Government of Maharashtra: how can the rationale offered by the BEST employees be considered even remotely valid? According to them, this problem is set to persist unabated until the cable wire is completely incinerated. In Mumbai—the country's financial capital—daily power outages lasting 3 to 4 hours are occurring; this situation, in itself, casts a shameful light on the functioning of the Maharashtra government.
I earnestly appeal to the Honorable Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis—who also serves as the State's Energy Minister—to implement concrete measures to liberate the residents of Pannalal Terrace from the daily mental and physical harassment they are currently enduring.
Thanking You,

@RakeshMumbai78 So the government announces “commercial cylinders” like it’s some big relief but where are they? Not a single one seen or received. Feels like nothing but empty promises and misleading news. Are we seriously being fed fake updates while ground reality is zero?
More than a month has passed, yet I have still not received a commercial gas cylinder for my establishment—Hotel Krish Restaurant, located at Kanjur Marg West, LBS Marg. Despite announcements on news channels by the government regarding the supply of 50% of commercial gas cylinders,
I am unable to procure one for my hotel. Upon inquiring at the gas agency in my area, I was informed that the cylinders are simply not being dispatched from the company itself.
On one hand, the government is making grand claims regarding the supply of gas cylinders; yet, on the other hand, needy small business owners like us are unable to obtain them. This presents an extremely contradictory situation for both the general public and the business community.
I earnestly request the Government of Maharashtra and Bharat Petroleum Corporation to ensure the immediate supply of commercial gas cylinders to Kanjur Gas Service, Kanjur Marg (East), Mumbai, so that needy small business owners like us may receive our gas cylinders.
Consumer No. : 88780525

@RakeshMumbai78 No commercial gas cylinders are available in shops through official channels only black marketing is increasing, and genuine businesses like ours are forced to suffer and stay shut.

I would like to seek clarification regarding the seat availability displayed in the Indian Railways ticket booking system at the time when reservations open for advance booking.
As per the current reservation rules, train tickets can be booked approximately 60 days in advance, and bookings open at 08:00 AM on the designated day. Recently, while checking ticket availability for travel from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Prayagraj for 14 May 2026, I observed something that I would like to understand.
For example, in several trains such as LTT Rajgir Express, LTT DNR Special, and others, the availability shown in 3AC class was around 28–35 seats when the booking opened.
However, typically a 3AC coach has 72 seats, and many long-distance trains usually have multiple 3AC coaches (for example 4–5 coaches). This would mean the total number of seats in 3AC should be around 288–360 seats or more. Despite this, the system displays only about 30–40 seats available at the time booking opens.
Therefore, I would like to kindly request clarification on the following points:
How many seats in each class are made available to the general public booking quota when reservations open?
Are the remaining seats allocated in advance to other quotas such as Tatkal, Premium Tatkal, Railway staff quota, VIP quota, or other reserved quotas?
Is there any official guideline or policy that explains the distribution of seats across different quotas before general booking opens?
Where can passengers access transparent information regarding seat allocation and quota distribution for each train?
Understanding this process will help passengers better plan their travel and improve transparency in the reservation system.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide clarification or direct me to any official documentation explaining this seat allocation mechanism.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Thanking You,

I would like to raise a query regarding the current policy of RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) tickets in the Indian Railways reservation system.
As per the current practice, when a passenger receives an RAC ticket and it does not get confirmed before the journey, two RAC passengers are required to share a single side-lower berth. Both passengers are allowed to travel and complete the journey while sharing the same berth.
However, my concern is regarding the ticket fare structure in this situation. Both RAC passengers are charged the full ticket fare, even though they are effectively sharing a single berth. In practical terms, this means that the railway collects the fare equivalent to two full seats for a single berth.
If the RAC tickets remain unconfirmed and both passengers complete the journey while sharing the same seat, it may be reasonable to consider whether a partial refund or adjustment in fare could be provided to the passengers. Since both passengers have paid the full fare but are sharing one berth, the current arrangement appears financially unfavorable for passengers.
Additionally, in some situations where one RAC passenger is male and the other is female, sharing a single berth can also create discomfort and inconvenience during long-distance travel.
Therefore, I would respectfully request clarification on the following points:
Why are RAC passengers charged the full berth fare, even though they may need to share a single berth if the ticket remains unconfirmed?
Has Indian Railways considered partial fare adjustments or refunds in cases where RAC passengers complete the journey without confirmation?
Are there any plans to improve RAC policies to ensure greater passenger comfort and fairness in fare structure?
I sincerely appreciate the efforts of Indian Railways in serving millions of passengers daily. My intention in raising this query is to better understand the current policy and to request consideration for improvements that could benefit passengers.
Thanking You,
