Innovation & the 6ix. Watch me throw my normally meaningless opinions into the Twitter ether where it can hopefully be used in some algorithm to sell me stuff.
@Damon98_ Jazz Chisholm has done CF before and wasn’t bad. He’s a free agent at the end of the season. Great fielder, a bat more capable than what he’s done this year and a fiend in the base paths
Fans may find him annoying but he’s worth it. A potential difference maker
The momentum oscillator continues to be negative for FINRA Margin debt in April, which suggests caution in equity markets. MoM margin debt declined in April 2023. This strategy has historically reduced drawdown/allowed for higher compounded returns.
So Canadian 5-year is up 30 bps in 2 days on April CPI print? What if the "re-acceleration" of inflation is as a result of "mortgage interest cost" that comprises 3% of the overall CPI? What if you replaced MIC with the Home Price Index? Shelter cost is plaguing many of CBs. 1/n
@SahilBloom Nice thread! Agree with everything. I’ll just add - saying yes to everything in 30s can still be a good idea. It’s less about age - and more about where you are in your journey. I’m in my 30s and ready to jump in new adventures again.
@sweatystartup Ironically, I think because of the vitriol it would be impossible to bring up the valid concerns with your tweet and be able to discuss. Twitter can be a nasty place. But not all “woke” are like this. Anti woke are bad too. It’s a social media problem, not a woke problem.
@RicharLisa On top of that, it’s important to remember discussions on Twitter aren’t real discussions. There is no introduction, no conversational cues. Just vitriol for your opponent who you have created to be the embodiment of evil. Twitter isn’t real life.
@Billius27 I would also ask all advocates of closing school to balance their full time jobs, deal with pay cuts and raising small children. I think you need to understand the stress ppl are feeling to have an empathetic conversation.
@sama@eli_crypto But they think the problems are solvable too - by pulling everyone down. This seems like a thinly veiled attempt to discredit groups of people who disagree with you.
@Billius27 Cloth masks are more comfortable than N95s, and many ppl I know would agree. Obviously less effective. But I think you have to base your opinion on more than just your followers, which is a biased sample.
@Billius27 Appreciate this. It’s hard decisions to make. And of course your audience won’t want you to bite your tongue. But it’s important to get that parents and teachers are stressed out. Starting with empathy may not get as many clicks, but I hope you’ll see it’s the right thing.
@Billius27 It’s a catch 22. With this age group, it is impossible to work from home with them at home. They require attention to just not harm themselves. But many people need their income, and can’t take time off work.
@DGBassani Do you think Australia is a fair comparison? since they effectively locked down so well you wouldn’t see the same seasonality patterns you see in other countries.
@JCityUX @MoriartyLab @MrAhmednurAli @COVIDSciOntario Why the hate for them? Their perspective is valid, even if you disagree. Two years in, lockdowns aren’t the bullet proof cases they once were.
