@BarExamTutor I’d like to see both to the extent it might be feasible. Diploma privilege with certification tests for specific practice areas. People could take as many or few as they want. Jobs could require specific ones, and clients would have access to that info when deciding who to hire.

A person can learn the test, score excellently, and then turn out to be a shitty lawyer. There is procedure to address performance concerns of licensed lawyers. Use that.
