Wish me luck.
I have got an interview for an AppSec role early next week.
I have spent the last few years building software, and along the way, I found myself getting more interested in security.
For those working in AppSec or product security: what's one thing you wish software engineers understood before the interview or before moving into security?
I would genuinely appreciate your perspective.

Build in public โ Day 7.
Someone said something today that stuck with me:
โAnonymous feedback is usually too vague to act on, and one question back turns it into something you can fix.โ
I think they are right.
Maybe the real value isn't just letting people speak anonymously.
It is helping them explain what they mean without having to reveal who they are.
Still figuring this out. But this is why I am building in public.
@mathiasvrb the feature was part of the plan down the line. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. However, the interaction helped me prioritize it.
I guess that's the whole point of building in public.
@daanbul@innervoicehq exactly. The feedback is only the starting point. Sometimes you need more info to understand what the person actually means.
That was the motive behind this feature.
What else would it need fro you to use it?

The owner can finally ask a follow-up question
Yesterday, I shipped the two-way anonymous conversations feature.
Someone leaves anonymous feedback. The owner can reply and ask follow-up questions. The person answers back. Nobody ever learns who they are.
No accounts. No emails. Just a private link only they hold.
Here is how it works:

Getting some genuinely useful feedback lately.
Questions about what's available.
Tips on making the landing page convert better.
And honestly, lots of love too.
Grateful for all of it.
Cooking up some exciting things while quietly shipping improvements in the background.

Building a simple way for people to leave anonymous feedback and suggestions.
I have started a lot of things before.
This time, I am trying to actually stick with one.

@lucaardito_@innervoicehq Wow, I am glad you found it useful. My apologies for the delayed response. I am not getting any notifications.
What would you prefer it should be? monthly subscription or one-time payment with BYOK?
@WayneTMhlanga@innervoicehq point to be noted. and that is exactly why the pro tier comes in with AI based filtering, categorization and prioritization.
More security features are planned once there is some traction and some noise.
Conversation is still new and unknown. Will see how that goes.

Someone said anonymous replies will lower friction and also invite noise.
With 7 users, I havenโt seen the noise yet.
In the middle of shipping the conversation feature.
Will share more tomorrow.
