#MartaPlazaFernandez https://t.co/Bq1Rym6hfV
Still teaching "chemical imbalance" in 2025? Glasgow's psych revision guide hasn't budged in 15 yrs - despite killer evidence debunking the serotonin myth (Moncrieff 2022). As a trainee psych, I'm calling for an update. Patients deserve better. https://t.co/hsZql7YV81
@ReadReadj@awaisaftab Anhedonia. I was suicidal for 12 years due to misdiagnosis. I have ptsd, severe, due to mh neglect. I had to go private to save my life and get me off the misprecribed rot
@DanJohnsonAB@ReadReadj@awaisaftab It reminds me of the consulting room where the psychiatrist does not wish to be challenged but is willing to cause harm to patients.
@ReadReadj@awaisaftab Blocking a highly qualified researcher in the topic is telling, regarding respect for critical thinking and science. But blocking is a "see-no-evil" move. I've been blocked by psychiatrists (and academics, forsaking honesty) because my teen son was killed by 40 mg fluoxetine.

I wonder if snorting a dissociative agent that gets you a bit high is a good long-term strategy for depression? A guy under a bridge on the canal by me told me it is. Also congrats to the authors who have been granted stock options from Janssen for their work.
Each new DSM diagnosis (we are at around 370 right now) creates an entirely new market for psych-drug consumption. This is why the drug companies love DSM: it's an ever-reliable driver of profit.
Maria A Oquendo, the new Chair of DSM-6 (yes it's coming) has received unrestricted educational grants and/or lecture fees form AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Eli Lilly, Janssen, Otsuka, Pfizer, Sanofi-Aventis, and Shire. She receives royalties from the commercial use of....
@KenWatts007 Yep. I didn’t find any groups until I was 4 months off and in pure hell and torture and happened to put “benzo” in the search bar on FB. Had no clue these groups existed.
@angpeacock1111 And the people who find their way to the groups are just the tip of the iceberg.
Most people go for years suffering through the side effects having no idea whats happening to them.
@OreElect They don’t see it because patients LEAVE THEIR PRACTICES. They know they don’t get it so they seek help elsewhere. (Like those of us on who have been through it)
