RainClove is a mobile app that helps people in Pakistan estimate how much rainwater a property can collect and what size storage tank might be suitable. You place a pin on a map at your site, enter your plot size in marla, and choose whether it is a residential or commercial property. The app then calculates your annual harvest in liters, recommends an indicative tank size, and shows single-storm tank guidance for different rainfall events. It also pulls local rainfall history and shows how built-up the area around your pin has changed over recent years, with notes on urban growth, groundwater recharge potential, and flood risk.

The results include an indicative cost range in PKR, compliance-style guidance, setup diagrams, a maintenance checklist, and the option to save or export a PDF report. An optional AI assistant can answer general questions about rainwater harvesting and your latest analysis.

I spent this June in #Bonn for #SB64, sitting in on #UN_climate_negotiations. It was mostly small rooms and long days. People from different countries are arguing over details that never make the news, details that decide whether a climate promise actually becomes a working water pump, a road, or an early warning system somewhere that needs one.
One thought stayed with me the whole flight home. Setting targets isn't the hard part anymore. Delivering on them is. And delivery only means something if it reaches the people who actually need it.

Pakistan is one of the most climate-vulnerable countries in the world. So when the FY2026–27 budget was announced, the question on everyone's mind was simple: is climate finally a priority, or just a label?
We dug into the numbers, and here's what stood out:
The Federal PSDP for FY2026–27 stands at Rs 1 trillion. Out of that, the Climate Change & Environmental Coordination Division received just Rs 2.48 billion, that's only 0.25% of the total development budget.
What's more concerning is the trend. Five years ago, in FY2021–22, the climate ministry's allocation was Rs 14.3 billion. Today it's Rs 2.48 billion, an 83% decline over five years.
On the positive side, disaster response and recovery budgets have seen real increases this year. But environment protection spending continues to shrink, and overall climate ministry funding keeps falling.
So the question we're asking in this video is: Is Pakistan's budget preparing the country to prevent climate disasters, or only preparing to respond after they happen?
